They are questioned for extremely long hours and asked about their political views and allegiances. When one family asked agents why they were being questioned, an officer told them, "This is a bad time to be an Iranian" I remember when 9/11 happened, I had to travel to Houston for my fathers cancer treatment, and we stayed in the airport for over 20 hours being asked weird questions.
