I Love Old Gaga (I Love Kanye) reworked by me:huntyga:

I miss the old Gaga, fashion to go Gaga

Performance art Gaga, set on her goals Gaga
I hate the new Gaga, the AvonLady Gaga
The always country Gaga, the soccer mom Gaga
I miss the sweet Gaga, chop up the edm beats Gaga
I gotta to say at that time I'd like to meet Gaga
See Gaga invented Gaga, it wasn't any Gaga
And now I look and look around and there's so many wannabe Gagas
I used to love Gaga, I used to love Gaga
I even had the ARTPOP merch, I thought I was Gaga
What if Gaga made a song about the old Gaga
Called "I Miss The Old Gaga, " man that would be so Gaga
That's all it was Gaga, we still love Gaga
And I love you like Gaga loves Gaga, hahaha

thank you for listening:huntyga:

I empathize with you, friend.  Gaga's retconning of CrazyGa strikes a very negative chord with my impression of her artistry.

I didn’t see it as her rejecting her past achievements, more of her trying to come to terms with who she was then versus who she is now as she’s dealt with finally starting to take control of her mental health, which she quite obviously did not do during the years she referenced in the talk with Oprah.

She clearly still considers herself an artist, she even said at one point in answer to Oprah’s question about whether she’s still able to be creative while taking her anti-psychotics that she wouldn’t take them if it meant losing her creativity.

With everything she’s gone through, added to that the natural fact that our perspective and view of our younger selves changes as we get older (I’m old as sh!t, my younger self barely seems like the same person!), I think she’s reflecting rather than rejecting.

She’s in a different place now, she’s moving forward and is a much stronger person, more aware and active on issues that today are very important, and she’s still making a difference and I still applaud her for that.

She’s also on a different route with her artistry and that’s also good. We really don’t want Gaga to be a recording machine, she might hit and crash on a wall, just like Katy Perry (or sort of).

I say let’s wait and see what she brings with LG6, whenever that may be, ‘cause it will tell where she’s at with her music career.

we just miss the times she would give us amazing looks just to leave a hotel

when you build a whole image saying that your whole life and mind evolves around art, pop and fashion and you go non pop for like 4 years and goes through an era wearing blonde hair with a root, a croptop and booty shorts it just feel kinda like ugh:(like kinda letdown

and i know Joanne has her cool moments too:huntyga: ( JW mv looking at u:ally: )

No matter how much you love fashion they are literally just clothes. There are more important things in life than being fashionable 24/7. I think you guys need to grow up to learn that, no offence pls...

I don't think that's what she meant. She said that it might've seemed superficial to some not that that's how she feels about it and the train wreck was her health and personal life. She still sees it as performance art and has never denied it.

She's changed over the years and sure you can feel a certain way about it but I don't think she's rejecting her past achievements in any way, just embracing them and evolving as a person and as a performer

I mean, hell look at her MET Gala performance and how passionately she talked about camp and performance art in general, not to mention how much effort her and her team put on it. She's not the same person she was years ago and honestly, good for her because she's in a much better state of mind but that doesn't mean she doesn't care about her craft anymore or is undermining what happened in the past.

Well the difference is that in Enigma everyone knows (including her) she's playing a character whereas earlier she presented the tour performances as her "real self". Not sure how to explain it better.

I agree with both of you in some ways, but she was definitely talking about her famous persona as being a train wreck rather than her mental health; in th interview Oprah asks her about how she no longer feels the need to shock (5:45) and Gaga replies, 'it was something that I enjoyed to bemuse people....so that they would listen to the music....there was sort of a state of confusion of, like, who is this woman, kind of like watching  a train wreck!'

I know what you're talking about and see how it could be interpreted that way, but again I don't think that's what she mean. The "kinda like watching a train wreck" is just her using a metaphor for catching people's attention and making them stare at her and wonder what was going on and that people didn't really understand her and her bemusement, not that the performance itself was a train wreck.

well gaga has used almost all of her career talking about fashion and talking about her love for fashion

fashion is so much more than “just clothes”

Ah okay, so you think the train wreck is a a metaphor for catching people's attention? Because originally, you said 'the train wreck was her health and personal life'.

You're right that I interpreted it wrong the first time because of the context but in the context of the video I think that yes, it's about catching people's attention and will stick by that. Regarding the superficial comment and the rest of what I said, I also stick by it. No need to get snarky, we're just having a conversation and I made a mistake.

Smother Em Eh

I understand where you are coming from and I get what you are saying but people change. She is maturing and constantly evolving like every other human on the planet.

Enigma is proof that she can still be the wild, crazy, weird and fearless Gaga we all know and love.
Also I don’t think she will get rid of her creativity or craziness, I just think she will balance it out so it’s not to the extent of being too much.

Enigma in her Vegas show is not a character she is playing, she says in the show that Enigma is part of who she is.
