Will Meghan Trainor’s album sell more than 15k first week?

I was saying 5k last week.

I wanna know whose great idea it was to delay the album to now.

Who actually sat at an exec meeting and said “I think people would be more here for a Meghan Trainor album in the next decade” :deadbanana:

I'll much rather want Gaga to have a top 10 hit with longevity, It doesn't really need to be #1, we already had  that last year.

I agree. We haven’t had a consistent Top 10 hit for 7 years now, that would be definitely better than a frontloaded #1, considering how good is Gaga’s reputation now.

But it’s also true that we could achieve a #1 with longevity :ally:

Shallow being in the Top 10 for 7 weeks (5 of them being consecutive from February - April) isn’t consistent? :deadbanana:

Shallow was a particular case because it was huge in the long run but I mean, LG6 lead debuting at #1 and falling off the Top 10 after 5/7 weeks wouldn’t look that good.

I’d go with an Applause-sized hit peaking at #4 but spending the double of that amount of weeks in the Top 10 instead.

Shallow stood like for 7 weeks inside top 10 which is pretty good. Also I'm a pretty positive person but that's very hard to do especially when you know that Gaga has a very different sound than the type of music that goes #1 nowadays which a lot of times is pure garbage

Girl you KNOW that they speculated on Meghan pulling a Tinashe and not having to invest any money into this stillbirth of an album. :toofunny:
