Smother Em Eh

That’s always what everyone likes to assume, but I don’t think so.

I think she’s just taking her time with this record and making it a masterpiece. Maybe this will be her magnum opus.

Yes.

I believe that she already had an album to release, everything was ready to go. But the problem was with ASIB. When it was officially announced that the movie was going to be released, they had the date in October. This meant that LG6 could have been scheduled for Q2 2018 release... similar to BTW rollout. But then, with a year to go, Warner Bros moved the release date forward to May 2018. This meant any plans to release new music had to be put on hold, and thus, LG6 was put in the backburner to get ready for ASIB release. But then, near the beginning of 2018, Warner bros decided that ASIB would be better served in its original release date in October and everyone who had seen the rough cut of the movie sparked Oscar buzz.

With that change back to the original release date of ASIB, its clear that both Bradley and Gaga really wanted to seal the deal on ASIB and the focus then became "how do we polish ASIB even further than we already have?" which they did in those months.  I do believe though she was still working on both ASIB and LG6, but everything was more ASIB focused. Any plans to release music which wasn't related to ASIB wasn't even on the cards as the focus became ASIB only.  Of course, nobody expected ASIB to do as well as what it did.

So we have the majority 2018 was spent on ASIB, with LG6 in the backburner. Its only natural to assume that she reopened the project. Its kind of like when you write an essay and leave it for a week, and come back to it and you're like "why did I write this sh!t its terrible" and you redo it. I think she came back to LG6 and didn't necessarily like or feel what she had done before was satisfactory. And this is the point where she scrapped it.

I do believe, however, that she has reused some of the beats for other things. She needed interludes for Enigma and music for Haus Labs adverts... so its possible that some of the OG LG6 was reused for those specific purposes. She has reworked LG6 and scrapped most of the OG work, BUT she is still working with the same producers like Bloodpop, Boys Noise, SOPHIE, Tchami and Basek... and she has been working with them the whole of 2019. I am hoping that she is nearing the end of the process so that she can release LG6 in 2020.

This is probably the most promising and logical opinion I've read about LG6 lol

Floppy

Why are we arguing about this? Gaga is the queen of scrapping concepts and ideas dating back to the beginning of her career. "the decay of the blonde pop star" "element of crime" "private in public" all the lyrics and quotes she teased on her tumblr account that never saw the light of day. You dragged her for years for teasing things and changing her mind and now you complain when she stays silent. :messga:

I feel like the album is complete.

It was just placed on the back burner because of ASIB being bigger than they imagined and the release schedule of other artists conflicting with hers.

She never did that lmao

Her 2014/2015 comments about LG5 were clear hints of what Joanne was going to be.

She did 8 songs with RedOne, one of them is on Joanne. It's a ballad. On the studio pics of Gaga & RedOne, there's always a piano and a guitar. She was already wearing boots and the "Joanne hat". Not everysong made the cut, but the album was never "scrapped"

LOL NOPE. Not this again. Gaga was saying things like “art of darkness”, collaborating with Nile, Moroder, and other people known for disco, she said it would be inspired by her AHS character. Mark Ronson later confirms they had no direction planned when they first met and only thought about using real instruments on day 2. Joanne was NOT the original LG5 concept. Simple as.

Probably pretty likely. Just like the original LG5 or whatever she was initially doing for LG5 was changed after she decided to go with Mark Ronson for that album.

COOOK

Frankensteined was a rehash of one of her RedOne songs for the original LG5 concept. After that it was replaced by Haus Labs’ promo “Bobby we’re using the song” song. The scraps of that came to be the album named ADELE. Later on she reworked these songs with a Bollywood single and reunited with RedOne. RedOne said no! and gave those songs for the PCD reunion EP, and now she’s left with nothing but a confrontational shake from Oprah after Gaga said she won’t quit making music

Don't know. Maybe when her six album is released we can have information about the album process, begin to end.
