And yet there are still people posting "WW3" memes and jokes online...

This is serious ****, this is nothing to joke about.

WWIII memes suddenly have a different taste.

Memes are the medium of voice of this generation. These “leaders” possess too much power and ego for their own sake, they make irrational decisions that the public (who had no business in igniting the tension) will be obligated to face. It’s tragic and ridiculous by all means, that’s what ‘memes’ highlight.

It's to be expected at this point considering the rank of the person that was killed. Unfortunately I don't think things will let up anytime soon.

I don't know how everyone now seems to pretend to know who is was . The US  War propaganda machine is on hyper drive now.

Yes, he was a terrible person and didn't deserve to live but the US knew fully well what this will start and have now started a war.  This was not the way too do it.

This is the equivalent to killing  Kim Jong-un second in command and expecting no retaliation.

I agree, it’s just not correct to mess up the whole region and possibly the world for no real reason and no real emergency threat.

he’s a psychotic man who did many crimes and murdered many innocent people but killing him may lead to more innocents people to die and even more than the number that he murdered.

On one hand I wanna say joking is fine to cope with fear...

But the thing is those memes are almost all western. I'm in the middle east and trust me, nobody's joking about this. It's ****ing disheartening seeing tone deaf americans joking about WWIII when they will never actually be affected themselves since the US is so good at waging its wars on foreign lands. It almost feels like they're mocking us.

Agreed. People in the region are going to be the ones that suffer the most from these kinds of games...it's the sad reality of these kinds of actions. I know a lot of Americans are like "oh sh*t" but they're most likely not going to be affected...at least not in the way that many Iranian, Iraqi, etc. people will be affected by.

Yeah exactly and it’s not like everything in the region is perfect, we are in one of the worst period in history so now it may get even worst.

Oh absolutely. I'm definitely not trying to say that it's people in the Middle East or anything. I'm fully aware that it's mostly western countries. And being in America, I feel so ashamed that so many people here (but also other western countries as well) are just making this entire situation a joke for some views, or likes, or retweets. It's disgusting that there are so many people joking about this.

Hope you're safe wherever you are

Don't get me wrong I fully embrace meme culture in that way, it could be so cathartic.

I think I'm saddened by some who lose touch of reality or lack understanding the world just for the sake of lolz.
