TheRealJT 2,291
Biden was at a rally today. I’m not really sure what he was talking about but he randomly brings up Til It Happens To You at the end of this clip. He said that it didn’t win, but it almost did lol Then he said that he introduced the women who sang it. I don’t think he remembers our queen. I’m glad that the boomers still remember that billboard dance chart topping hit.
Guest
I wouldn't mind it if they casually forgot about each other and never interacted again tbh
LilyLark 10,122
LOL. I kind of hope he does forget her. I am far from a Biden fan, but that account (the one below Roland Martin) has been sh*t posting and taking things way out of context/selectively editing/straight up faking sh*t about Biden. A bunch of Republicans keep retweeting it, too, along with that awful Comfortable Smug guy. It's absolutely a troll account "masquerading" as a Democrat and/or a DSA person, and even Dave Weigel (who is a WaPo reporter who is pretty pro Bernie) and some other Bernie folks have called the account out. PunkTheFunk 124,530
"Ah, I remember, she was Lady Something. Goo goo gaga. Big in the 80s, I remember hearing her songs. Do you remember her? Ha. What was it, uh, Express Your Prayer? Something like that? Anyway."

Chickens in Malibu 7,873
There's nothing wrong with the use of the "woman who sang that song" in that context. It doesn't necessarily mean he forgot about her. But maybe he just doesn't want to name drop celebrities for campaigning purposes? If Gaga is supporting Bernie for example, she may be uncomfortable with her name being used during Biden's campaign. I think it's actually respectful of him. Chris Evans 8,917
it just sounded like he didn't want to name drop "LADY GAGA" when he's talking about something really serious
TheQueenEnthusiast 937
God I despise him so much and this so much. 1) The racist nonsense spewing from his mouth 2) He doesn't even know Gaga's name I'm definitely more mad about #1 though, and #2 is whatever lol

Kulture Kiari 3,433
Honestly. Y'all are taking this out of proportion. It feels like he didn't want to name drop her randomly. We've all seen how some celebrities react when Donald Trump name drops them. He probably didn't want this moment, to turn into Gaga tweeting "No. Omg. No. Don't use my name Biden." He was smart to just use "Till it happens to you" because it had a huge impact in culture for everyone to know exactly who he is talking about. But to condemn him as a racist is just delusional. It's funny to me that he's being attacked on both fronts. Trump supports claim he's open-border and against whites using clips like these (from before he ran for office by the way), and far left wing people saying he's "racist":

I will not argue this. Racism isn't always "I hate *said marginalized race*" It's systematic, violent, and largely done on a macro-scale. He knew exactly the repercussions that were to follow.
