If you have donated to any Democrat running for office, or Clinton in 2016, or even put your number into some kind of website/facebook/survey etc, or even put it on your voter registration, there is ways of getting that information. Also, many campaigns are now using a relational type approach through apps, etc for a grassroots outreach. Bernie has the Bern app. Bloomberg is coming out with one. Someone could've added your number and information that way and based on what they said, they may have determined you could be a possible donor. It's also how they text you to go vote and ask if you'll vote for a candidate. They also send you postcards in the mail for your vote. Voter registration is public information. I haven't donated to anyone in the past or signed up for an app, etc. My voter registration is public I know, but when I search it my phone number isn't on it.
