y’all really can’t give Beyoncé her props and it’s sad, stan twr and the fanbase aside.

Nothing sad with the fact some people simply disagree with you or don't agree to the same extent...

Seing how bothered you seem to be with others opinions you're the same way but on the defending side here.

Anyway folks can agree to disagree no hard feelings needed over that! :)

Y’all can disagree and move along... I see some more discrediting than disagreeing but I guess it’s what you define it as.

I'll just copy and paste what I accidentally put on another thread:

You can't own the decade when you've only released two (sorry, 3, I forgot about 4) albums the entire decade and not even the two bestselling albums of the decade at that. Adele, Taylor and Ed slay her when it comes to album sales. I don't know how she can possibly be held up as the #1 success in the industry when these names are clearly above her. She's also lost a major foothold in international markets this decade since she decided to make her work much more racially charged and not as inclusive. Her last US #1 (and last #1 in most countries) was Single Ladies in 2010. So, yeah, one solitary #1 for the entire decade and yet she's apparently the biggest name. PR works wonders, that's all I can say. Beyonce was at her peak in the 00's. She fell off in 2011, managed to admirably regain her footing by refusing to release singles and albums normally (because she knew she could no longer be a successful singles artist) and is now struggling to get a joint project, live album and soundtrack off the ground. This is not the biggest name of the decade. This is an artist who suffered a setback, had a short-lived comeback and is now on the slide again.

Literally how?

By pretending that she's the first artist to the things they listed. By acting like she's the only performer worth seeing live. By acting like everyone knows all the songs and videos from her last 2 albums. Honestly, if you ask anyone who's not into her kind of music, you'd be met with blank stares. There are lots of people in this world who know who Beyonce is but that's where it starts and ends. You won't know of her recent material unless you actively follow her because the most influential people in the GP's point of view are those who put themselves out there and promote, make their material widely available. Beyonce's exclusive approach to music is why she can never be on the level of truly influential artists who allow their music to be listened to by all, not just those with a streaming subscription.

That’s not at all what they’re getting at but if that’s how you feel, guess I can’t change that.
And they’re not trying to say she’s the first, they’re simply saying that she did it better and it’s worth noticing.

Literally other artists had bigger album sales than her. She didn’t even have a real hit song this decade. I understand that Beyoncé is a fabulous entertainer, and I understand her having hardcore fans that idolize her. I don’t understand how publications can give her artist of the decade when there were more successful artists. It’s like they are pushing that narrative. I’m not a Taylor Stan by any means, but I feel that her or Adele would be more likely to get that. Either way, Beyoncé has had a cultural impact. I just feel the media tries to put her on a pedestal.

I think we were blessed the last decade. Not even sure if we would even have that ever again
