Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the low populated Provinces in Atlantic Canada like Newfound Land and New Brunswick, Nova Scotia etc I suspect will remain mostly white for many years to come

 

Ontario and British Columbia will continue to lead immigration and population growth and therefore diversity.

 

Alberta may as well but I think it also depends what happens to their oil economy longer term as their boom/bust economy tends to be very inconsistent with how many people are drawn there

But anyway towards that zone we have some but Indians and Chinese and to a lesser extent Phillipinos clearly dominate

 

I'm not sure why that is or how they target them but I know we try to get at least 60% of our immigrants be "economic immigrants" meaning they have education or skills we need so they are definitely specifically targeted

Probably India and China have more skilled people, because US also targets them. 

Germany also targets India, Vietnam, Philippines and Brazil.

Yeah... China has a strong educated population in program and software which is perfect for our boom high tech sector

 

India is strong in nurses and doctors and other medical stuff. 

 

Countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Jamaica, Trinidad etc that we also accept a sizable amount from (or at least used to I don't know what the current numbers are) have tended to be more family immigrants

 

When it comes to economic immigrants and skilled immigrants definitely China, India and Phillipines have given us a high number of those

I think this is why Canada can successfully absorb immigrants at such a rapid rate without much society issues... 

 

Other than a few little remarks like I've heard like "they are ruining our country" (which are very rare btw) we don't generally have political discussions about whether or not we should be accepting immigrants. It's generally accepted by every major party and most of the population

 

The Conservatives definitely support a slightly smaller annual quota than the Centre Liberals and Left Wing NDP but even the Quotas the Conservatives want is still quite high

So the issue here is that people are complaining that people are holding all of white people accountable for the actions of their ancestors. However, white people do the same sh!t to minorities, 10 times over. Why do you think islamophobia and xenophobia popped up so strongly after 9/11? We started to believe that every Muslim was a terrorist and made them explain for their country. Until white people stop doing things like that, we cannot expect to not be held accountable for our ancestors actions. Especially because we are still feeling the repercussions of all of the systemic racism in this country, and benefiting from it.

Let’s not talk about Muslims and minorities because I’m pretty sure I’d end up being called a racist for stating facts about what happens to minorities in Muslim-majority countries. 

If whites are too racist toward Muslims, they wouldn’t have been risk drowning hoping to go to white-majority countries, would they?

Even with any degree of prejudice, the overall living conditions are still greatly preferable in most western developed nations to conditions in many Muslim nations

Basically this. There's many different types of priveledge

 

Gender, racial, wealth class you were born into, your health, genetics that can make u better looking and taller for example etc

 

Very few people are privedged in every single aspect and you can have a white person that has no priveledge in life in anything else whatsoever

 

But in terms of that factor alone, it always helps in your favour to not be in a prejudiced minority especially in Nations where it's a bigger issue

 

You can have a black who's more priveledged financially for example and live a better overall life than some whites and still face certain barriers a white won't

 

People of all races can have varying degrees of overall privilege but race is a factor nevertheless

Exactly. Situations are so dire in some of those countries that they will risk anything to escape somewhere safer.

What. All I said was you can’t be racist towards a religious group. It’s like saying me not thinking men and women were equal is racism. Followers of Islam come in all races. There are white Muslims, black Muslims, Asian Muslims. Brown =/= Muslim either. Grab a dictionary if you’re still confused.
