Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

I work in the film industry and this is my take: “The dead speak!” But they don’t say anything interesting...

I love Star Wars, but THE RISE OF SKYWALKER just blatantly ignores questions it raises, undoes much of the Last Jedi, spits in the face of the original trilogy, and then ends. It’s a very well-shot disappointment in which JJ and Disney cut out or trimmed down anything too weird or creative in favor of the safest film they could make. It’s a rehash of what came before with video game-level plotting and none of the shocks / new ideas of Last Jedi.

If you liked Force Awakens you’ll like it? This is literally FAN SERVICE: A Star Wars Story. Who the actual hell let the guy who wrote Justice League write this?! Anyone defending this frenetic, rehashed mess of a script is :bradley:

Literally cried watching the movie. It was so beautiful. A perfect trilogy with an amazing ending. Sure, there were things that I wished would have been done differently, but I will definitely be watching it in like 10 years again :ally:

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

It is so good. J.J helped to fix the film after being  so deconstructed in TLJ.

I can only say that much cos any more I will only be spoil all things. It is that hard to say cos all things will be a clue and hence, spoilers.

Love the way they wrap up my boy, Kylo, story in here.

Yeah, Fin and Po should've kissed :ally:

I wanted the writers to actually explore their realtionship on the films instead of just teasing us. :bradley: #StormpilotDeservedBetter :toofunny:

To some people though, undoing TLJ is a good thing.

Haven't seen it, but this is what I've heard a lot of people say. They say it's more of a sequel to TFA, than TLJ.

Overall I really liked the sequel trilogy, but it also could have been so much better.

Now that it’s over, my biggest complaint is that Captain Phasma was such a wasted non-event. She looked so AWESOME in the chrome suit and was my favorite out of the new characters when they were first announced.

Also Finn deserting the Stormtroopers was such a cool storyline but they did nothing with it in the end

who will love me when the night is over

I don't know if I'll watch it cause everyone is saying it is a stepback from TLJ and even though it had its flaws there were character arcs like Rey and Kylo relationship, that they're not black and white but different levels of gray, that Rey's parents were nobodies and anyone can be force sensitive, the fall of a broken Luke... I think they wasted a lot of good new ideas to just constant stupid fan service for more than two hours

Star Wars was innovative, a breakout author trilogy, not repetitive movies that bring nothin new imo

Haven’t even seen it yet but these movies suck lol. They don’t feel like Star Wars to me. Can’t wait for this tragic trilogy to finally be done with. Hopefully George Lucas will be called in for the next ones to right the wrongs of these Disneyfied movies and restore the “magic” of the universe.

Thanks for the spoiler:messga: I would kill you but I saw the other tread about it first.

And about Finn and Poe, I'd be happy if it happens at least in a comic.
