Britney and Kylie

Why didn't we ever get a Britney and Kylie collab?

They would be a perfect fit sonically (much better than Brit and Madonna, sorry MAtM). Their voices could mesh so perfectly together and their musical directions have often overlapped throughout the years so for me it's a no-brainer. Sometimes I catch myself wondering which Kylie song was first intended for Britney and vice versa (we know that was the case with Toxic, but it's fun to guess). Imagine if Nudity, Skirt or Mr. President had a Britney feature...

We did, in a strange and unlikely turn of events, get a Britney x Robyn collab – sort of – so I'm not complaining.:ally: Just wondering.

wHAT? I had NO CLUE about this. She really did marry indie and pop with this album like it was 2015. Queen.

I was referring to Piece of Me. Robyn's vocals are heavily featured on the song.

Kylie and Britney did appear on a British TV show together, but the only thing I can find is this 3 second clip

To my knowledge Toxic only went to Britney because Kylie turned it down, but no other other song in her discography was meant for Britney or to feature her. Sexercize was meant to feature Brooke Candy if that helps lol

Well that would make sense considering Britney got few songs that were supposed to go to Kylie and vice versa.

Yeah, as I said it's fun to guess and when my gay mind connects the dots it's hard not to think about it.

Also, was it? Brooke went live on Insta earlier this year and she mentioned a song they were working on together titled Kyliewood but I haven't heard anything about Sexercize. Can't even imagine what that would sound like.

Yeah Kylie Would was meant for Brooke's album. Parlophone/Roc Nation refused to release the Kylie song with Brooke's rap verse, so they edited it and released it as Sexercize

One of Britney’s most iconic songs was supposed to be Kylie’s and that’s Toxic. Some other songs from ITZ were first sent to Kylie too.. Also I read that few songs from Kylie’s album Body Language were originally intended for Britney.

Well It's also worth pointing out  that Kylie's most iconic song was supposed to be S Club 7's (and then Sophie Ellis-Bextor's).

No one knows how the demo sounded like when Kylie got her hands on it, but maybe it had more to do with the fact that it didn't fit the Body Language R&B sound they were going for. You can certainly hear the Kylie vocal delivery on the final song but production wise it's not what Kylie was going for at the time

The final product was definitely not what Kylie Minogue heard when she first heard it.
