Spirit makes it into the Oscars Shorlist for Best Original Song (no Taylor)

Obviously only songs from 2019 movies are eligible and I like some of the 15 songs. But compare not just Shallow but ARUTW and INLA to any of the 2019 songs – ASIB is such a great soundtrack!

but really, the fact that Taylor missed only helps Spirit's chances. Now there's only 1 popstar in contention.

The competition is weak so Spirit will make it to the 5 nominees. I cant see it winning though. It will probably stay as a filler nominee all award season

Yeah its super hard to tell... no one has been "sweeping" so far. 

Frozen ll with Into The Unknown didn't have half of the impact and relevance as Let It Go

Beyonce hasn't even mentioned Spirit since its release

Eviro is the ONLY one campaigning, also because she could potentially have a BA nom
