Haus Labs palette PANNED on reddit

The post where those comments are from on r/beautyguruchatter contains basically only comments saying this is boring. I may have seen 2 or 3 top saying something remotely positive. 

Beauty gurus have given their stamp of approval to the Glam Attacks and Eyeliners, and I've literally mentionned in my comments that those products were good.

Jeffree did say the packaging was boring. I'm allowed to an opinion and so are other beauty fans, and we don't have to ask what beauty gurus think to form said opinion. The collective reaction to this palette on reddit is that it looks bad and boring. Point blank.

I came here, said this was bad.

The fans who can't stand criticism started quoting me to argue.

I didn't go and randomly quote people who were saying this is good to tell them they were wrong.

 

This is not even music or what she does with her life. This is selling a product. It's not negativity to trash A PRODUCT. It's being a consumer and being able to call out something I think is bad and not just spend because it has Gaga's name on it.

Do you pay for her music?

If so, then it's a product. 

Did she create a makeup line called Haus Laboratories?

If so, then that is something she does with her life.

I don't cause I stream it but trashing her music is not something I like because it's art, not just a product

When I said doing something with her life I meant her hobbies or whatev. Fans trashing her for smoking or dating a guy are in the wrong.

You completely ignored everything else I said because you're just here to silence me and don't know a single thing about makeup 

So I'll just say : This looks like dollar store makeup and everyone (besides three people apparently) on that reddit post agrees. Good for you if that's what you were looking for.

If you are streaming it, you are paying for it. Artists receive money from streams. 

If you are paying for internet in order to stream something, you are paying for it. 

 

How would you, an anonymous person online, have any indication of me, another anonymous person online, or what I know about makeup.

That's like 2/3 of the main components of a palette besides formula

Good formula + trash packaging and trash colors doesn't equal good palette

By this logic you can't know if it's good until you tried it

You clearly have NOT bought dollar store makeup and it shows.

HL uses custom packaging with multiple formula labs. Don't be delusional even if you think the packaging is underwhelming.

The swatches don't look chalky at all, in fact, you can't even see the texture?

How can the colors be trash when they're very popular daily colors that everyone uses? It may be a basic combination but certainly if they're trash then I guess EVERY MAKEUP BRAND sells trash?

It looks like this palette or a Younique one 

You can see from the pictures that the shimmers don't have much shine in them. If you think they do well good thing for you. I personnally expect more for the price point and to me this is chalky. As I said, I didn't start quoting people who think this is a good palette, and I don't need you telling me it's good. I think it's bad. Point blank.

Do they really? I highly doubt so because I have yet to see actual criticism.

Are the colors basic? Yes. Trash? Clearly not since basic colors are the most used colors.

Is the packaging basic? Yes. Trash? Everyone's preference is different, I think it looks like Mac's sleek black design and they do have some weight - it fits right in with the price range.

Are the formulas revolutionary? No. Trash? Definitely not. They're very good,  in fact, MANY celebrity make up artists(not beauty gurus) have used them on their clients.

They don't know everything about it. They are invested in the beauty world and have something to compare it to, and some experiences to talk from. Plus they're not all Gaga fans so they're not biaised.

Who are you gonna trust between Gaga's #1 one fan who doesn't do makeup and a random person who does makeup and loves talking about it to know if this looks like a good palette ?

If this didn't have Gaga's name on it, it wouldn't have ANYTHING that would make it stand out from other neutral palettes and make it worth the price point. I'll gladly wait for you to find one thing that makes it worth it since you apparently know something about makeup ?
