Wendy Williams on "SKIMS for Men"

As some of you may know Kim Kardashian West released in September a shapewear line for women as an "answer to shapewear that actually works. Designed to smooth, enhance, lift and tone - each piece has a solution for every body". It has been a success and has garnered positive reviews.

So today I was getting my Wendy Williams jush when I came upon this topic, where she tells that Kim's tapping on the idea of creating a line for men out of the many requests she's been having.

Wendy has a point, but she's borderlining on body shaming men along the way. And if you search for images of shapewear for men, you can clearly see more pleasing and polished versions of the one that's on screen.

Would you be here for it? I'd honestly like a little enhancement and tone.

How is she body shaming men? wearing a shapewear is not your body. Shes actually doing the opposite of body shaming and said in the video that she likes bigger men.

I wouldnt mind wearing a shapewear, but I wouldnt like my boyfriend to do it, it would be a turn off for me. I think that is what Wendy is saying.

It looks like a cross between a giant nappy (diapers) and a tampon... :ladyhaha:   Who would actually wear that thing?

I never understood shapewear :oprah: is it just a less constrictive corset or something

Anyway I dont mind Kim making them, if someone wants to wear them, they can buy them.

Buy ARTPOP on itunes or smth?

If a Man wants to wear shapewear to feel better about themselves then let them wear it, I don't know why she's Shaming that.

I find it so strange that we obsess over man-made gender specific things, Like it's a piece of fabric where does your gender play a part in wearing it?

I don't understand the point? Mens fashion (unlike women's) doesn't fit as tight...if you were to wear this under a suit, a sweater, or even skinny jeans and a t-shirt, I doubt anyone would notice?

If it makes some men feel better about their body and in general about themselves, who the hell are we to judge? Wendy as usual being sexist and having her (CLEARLY) old fashioned opinion. I honestly believe she’s also homophobic but just acts like she’s supportive. The was she called those men “queens” and kinda publicity shamed them just because they said yes to this is a giveaway IMO. I also feel like she’s usually degrading to gay men in her show, also the way she shamed Bruce Jenner before he transitioned is beyond. I’m not gay men and I don’t think this is for me to speak against but yea I feel like she’s degrading them.

Men who have problems with the way they look? I don’t know why it’s okay for us girls to wear something that looks like diapers and a tampon but not for a guy?

Spanx for men has actually been around for a while and I believe it does quite well because unbeknown to some people there is actually a market for it.

Ok, but it doesn't matter about her personal opinions, she can say whatever she wants but her shaming people who would want to wear it seems wrong and just kinda sexist. women can wear it, why can't men, it shouldn't be a gender specific thing, look at it like makeup, it was very 'women only' 'no men' blah blah blah type thing and now many males wear it and are admired for it and sure there are some people who still disapprove but most people don't really care and don't have a problem with it so she really should just shut up:vegas:
