I went to a Pro-transgender demonstration just last week. LGBT rights aren't the best in the country. But please don't let this news make you thing that Hungary is extremely homophobic because it really is not (atleast Budapest) Budapest has a lot of gay tourism, gay saunas, gay bars, gay cafes, gay restaurants. A major part of Budapest is very hipster, liberal and when I went to pride last summer, I was blown away by the number of people who turned up, from all walks of life. It was huge and just a big celebration. Don't let this news discourage you. The government sucks and a lot of people hate them. Sorry for Eurovision.
