Although no official reason has been given for the withdrawal, a source inside Hungary’s public broadcaster reportedly said they assumed hostility to the contest’s LGBT+ links were behind the decision. Ok, Eurovision is silly, commercial and biased but honestly this was one of the only things that gave me sparkles and hope when I was a child watching family tv.
