Soupsoup 48
There’s no way she isn’t flopping on purpose. All her witness singles did well and were great songs. The rest of the album was simply rushed and everything after that she has released has been awfully written. Maybe if Katy worked with Max Martin and Cirkut (Or madeinchina), she would have hits again. Instead she is making Sia and Charlie Puth write goofy songs for her. The problem is that max martin knew how to make Katy’s goofy ideas sound great unlike Charlie. (edit: she sould also do promo (billboards, controversy, payola etc.) when the album roll out comes)

StrawberryBlond 14,874
These views would be totally impressive if they weren't bought, however. It's hard to say which ones are the culprits but we all know something is going on with Bon Appetit. That video suddenly gained a whole ton of views and likes over the course of a few days this summer. This was for a 2 year old song that was an international flop and hadn't had any promo recently. And while its views and likes have lessened since then, it's still gaining way too much for a song that didn't go anywhere. It started gaining more views 2 years later than it did as a new single. What else could be the reason for its sudden popularity? CTTR was unquestionably the biggest hit from Witness, so why are its views and likes dramatically lower? That suggests to me that CTTR's views and likes are real, Bon Appetit's are inflated. I'm also still having a hard time to believe that Roar and Dark Horse are still getting all this attention and 50k likes a week after all this time. And now, it's abundantly clear that her views are faked when her new songs can't make a decent turn-out. She's one of the most subscribed to artists of all time, she has over 35.6 million, close to the subscribers of Taylor and Ariana. So why isn't she currently getting views and likes like them? How can you have that number of subscribers and have the vast majority of them not interested in anything new you're putting out? Her views show that not even all her subscribers have watched her latest videos yet as Small Talk is still only at 22 million views, HIH at 16 million. There's clearly been something going on...that's been stopped.

But a song with the success of Shallow would have at least 1.5 billion views by now if we were in 2015 You’re right about the second point, if Shallow had the success in 2015 that it has today it would’ve translated into 1.5 billion views by now. But let’s not forget that Bad Romance was the first song to go viral on YouTube. If it weren’t for Gagz YouTube might’ve ended up like MySpace. So Gagz helped YouTube in 2009-2010 when it was a struggling new platform AND she’s helping YouTube in 2018-2019 when it is now a struggling old platform. Well, this is pretty nice for a flop era. She always delivers on videos and visuals. I like witness but youtube is literally an anomaly in this era's stats because it bombed everywhere else especially before swish swish music video 20 hours ago, Santa Stefani said: But the video is a serve and the song is fine.
