It's very clear she worked very hard on it with her brother and it's got a lot of musical innovation in pop. Pulls from blues, pop, rock, house, trap, etc. It's that genre-less sort of thing that is very hyped atm. Tbh I don't think Lizzo deserves an AOTY nom. It's a good album, but it wasn't *that* good. I mean, I love Lizzo and she's great, but there's a couple of clunkers on there amidst the bops. It really feels like a compilation rather than an album in contrast to Billie's album that really feels like such. But good for her, all the same.
