He didn't show remorse over these feelings and said "yeah I have them, no biggie." Yes, he said he wouldn't act on it but he also said he lies and that the only thing he wouldn't do is murder. The thing missing here is a clear, unequivocal expression/admission that his thoughts are indeed a bad thing (regardless of whether it's in his control). For one, "child" isn't a gender pedophilia is more akin to a fetish than a sexuality. And we don't base civil rights movements on fetishes. So yeah, I'm good with not lynching pedophiles who haven't harmed a child. They should be given help to resist their temptations and be a functioning member of society.
