I truly loved the book (and film adaptation), and the book that I've been writing since 2014 and is still writing today is loosely inspired by the book (tho my MC is 18 and his love interest is 21). Yes I am aware he is not actually harming anyone because he is not acting on it but he is normalizing the behavior by even speaking about such fantasies in such a nonchalant way. Words normalize fantasies, fantasies slowly normalize actions. It is a cycle and all interconnected. Very dangerous rhetoric this man is spreading.
