So the Variety music critic who loved her vocals at the Sirius event was delusional?  All the critics who praise J & P are wrong?  People can have a different opinion.

Yes - but the reason it's more prominent could have to do with her sickness. When it's hard to find resonance where you usually find it, you can add nasality. 

And I would say she uses it as an effect in jazz too. The beginning of Bang Bang is nasal. But there are songs she does that aren't that nasal - Lush Life comes to mind.

It is true that her voice changed for the past years, she is at her mid 30s now and even during the fame ball and monster ball she had a lot of flat moments with her vocals and nobody used do give a coin about it. Every artist has vocal struggles, this is not the end of the world. 

Cheek To Cheek is 5 yeard old, she will not have that same voice again. Her technique is great, she is safe. From now on she will learn new ways to present her voice, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Christina, Adele, Tina, you name it, they all had to do some changes because their voices had a huge shift.

No one is kissing her ass here.

She cracked a few notes, she's been off and so on... but as every singer does! And as a singer myself don't get me started on the topic: there are months where I sing and belt effortessly and month where it doesn't matter how much I try to warm up, my breath control is off, my throath is closed, etc. The fact is that in those bad months I get so frustrated and I try to push myself to do better and the result is even worst.

Gaga is probably on a bad month vocal wise and it's normal.

You're talking about critics as if they're the only beings with ears. Nobody said she sounds like Britney, but she clearly haven't seen Don lawrence in a while. An easy comparison would be her CTC tour to her current jazz shows in vegas.

Sure. Except I didn't mean to refer to a single J+P Bad Romance but rather the recent Bad Romance performances as a whole. Maybe she's had a sinus infection since 2018

I would have been worried about her voice if she was struggling to sing at most of the shows but I can't be when I hear her the next day at her Jazz shows singing flawlessly, she just gives me the thought that she's just a bit tired which is totally understandable when you think about that she has fever and pain and her partying and other stuff in Vegas. Also I remember her having some off moments even in 2016 and at some of the JWT shows too, it's totally ok, it can happen.

Of course she will have some days off bc she sings for 2 hours straight. Add fibro to it + her being sick and she still manage to hold the entire show.

I'm sick rn and can't even sing one full song with a proper high note lol
