Gaga went shooting the final scene of a movie the same day her best friend died..
She was in full Enigma mode and award shows when Arabella died and she cancelled her engagement..

So delaying a whole album because of a two year old dog is... interesting

Gaga was not creating music. She had business schedules.

Lorde is creating music (and she's a master at truly developing music that expresses where she is in life right now), with no strings attached. She was creating something happy, and was not done with it, obviously it is hard to finish it when she's mourning. 

Gaga has scrapped albums and concepts before for various reasons, but never talked about it like Lorde is doing.

I understand the loss of a dog. I’ve lost people and dogs in my life, and somehow losing a dog crushes in a way that can’t even be described. I completely understand (though it crushes me a bit to know) why she’s postponing the album. 
 

She’s a masterpiece artist anyway, so I fully feel assured that’ll be worth the wait.

I get what you mean. She’s 23, not 17 though she still seems quite fragile. And she’s been silent with her fans (who she calls her “friends”) for a number of years now, most of whom didn’t even know she had a dog, so this does seem quite odd to bring up. I fear for her mental health. I think she is trying to reach out to her fans. Hopefully they recognise how much she needs them right now. Be kind.

Well she has never lived in „the rest of the world“ she‘s been famous and rich (and secluded) for... ever since royals was released. Different people different circumstances. Apples and oranges

Lorde doesn't do 'schedule' though  took ha 4 years to make Melodrama, not sure why everyone's acting like her next album should take any less time

This is so heartbreaking I literally had a dream last night of my dog dying and my heart ached so much just from the thought of it. Dogs are more than pets they purely love you unconditionally it’s something different from human love they're incredible creatures I understand where she’s coming from. She should take all the time she needs, she’ll release quality music regardless when it comes

As a celebrity and an artist, the real world for her is different from the real world for you. She lives in just as much of a real world as you do - her way of life is just something completely beyond your comprehension.

I completely understand why she would need more time. My boy has just turned 15 and i'll be distraught for a long, long time when he goes. I can honestly say my dog has saved my life so many times and got me through some very dark times.

I’d be devastated too if Charles dies. As was I when my previous dog, Bickel, died ❤️🐶😢 So I understand her completely. I think this is something you’ve to experience yourself.
