Payloa or not, this was destined to be at least a top 5 hit, the public were thirsty for new music from her for a while, all my friends and siblings are listening to her song since the video dropped. I think its safe to say that Selena is officially the biggest ex-Disney star, and she didn't need to swing naked on a wrecking ball to achieve that. To me it really shows how charts rules change with streaming in the early/ mid 201O's with the way they count streaming in global sales etc. When gaga started your song had to get some solid momentum to have a chance to reach the top of BB100 and now it doesn't seem to be the case as much as it used to be. Miley is much more of an artist and too little singer chasing the commercial charts. Much more experimental and not following the trends. While Selena makes songs that use the sound of it's time - Miley bets on variety and different genres - pop, country, experimental, rap.
