I live in NYC..

I have sat on subway car seat next to John F. Kennedy Jr. I have watched Madonna leave her gym. I passed by Yoko Ono on a street in front of the Dakota. Al Pacino sat behind me in a movie. Meryl Streep ate pizza two feet from me..

I never once asked these people for anything.  

I understand your your feelings and thoughts. She gave you a great show. That's all she owes you.

The moment her security came to you for the first time, you just had to take a few steps back and understand that the encounter with her is basically over, she was probably pissed off that you took a picture of her.. you had to actually ask her team for permission.

weirdly I walked into Alaska & Sharon a few days ago where I live in the U.K. and it was kinda awkward, Sharon was very friendly but it was clear Alaska wasn’t feeling it, but she was polite.

Tbh.. I think if I was you I would be furious. Waiting all those years and takin that long a trip to have her stood in front of you and to literally turn her back must have been infuriating. She has a right to a private life of course so I get her perspective, but the reality is she could have handled it better.

from what I have seen of her while in Vegas and Joanne back stage business, she ain’t the same girl we stanned 11 years ago.

EDIT: Actually, I’m 2012 I saw the BTWB in London and we got there at 6am and waited in line to get in the Pitt. Got in, incredible show. 
 

after the show around 10:30 a few of us waited at the back of the stadium for her to leave. Around 2am there where about 10 of us and security came out and waited with us, Sarah came out and said hi and then security said Gaga is happy to meet us but we have to be dead quiet. So they put barriers up for us to stand behind and we waited. Around 2:30am (I think). The cars came SPEEDING out the stadium and over 25/30 miles an hour and it was clear she had no interest in meeting us. They speed off so fast and all 10 of us had been dead silent to make sure we could meet her. 
 

I defended her to peoples and said she just be tried like us and it’s already so late, the next morning we woke up to photos over her out in London That same night looking banging, she wasn’t tired, she just didn’t wanna meet us. (Which is fine)

Just remembered that, haven’t thought about in ages so thought I would share that with you. 

 

That is so odd  There was another story on here kind of similar to that. It sounds like either Gaga or her team likes to get her fans to behave by promising they can meet her if they're patient/quiet, but then not holding up her end of the bargain. When it stretches on for hours, it strikes me as somewhat abusive.

Anyway, I wouldn't go so far as to say "never meet your heroes," but I'd definitely say "it's better to meet them when they're expecting it." Like, I've gone to album signings (KT Tunstall and Vanessa Carlton come to mind), where even though I only had like 30 or so seconds with the artist, it was still really cool and memorable, and because they were in "fan interaction" mode it was very positive.

You say you know she didn't owe you anything and yet you're still devastated that she didn't want to be bothered. People's expectations of celebrities are way too high. Can you imagine how exhausting it must be to have strangers coming up to you all the time? Personally whenever I see a celebrity in person (it hasn't happened often but still) I don't go up to them. First of all I wouldn't even know what to say apart from the obvious clichés like "I love you, I love your work, etc.", second of all I know how precious personal space is. People need to learn to respect that.

Of couse it would've been nice if she had talked to you or waved or something, but she wasn't feeling like it. Don't take it personally. I understand your disappointment but at the same time by talking to her in that context you were taking the risk that she wasn't gonna feel like talking to fans. It sucks but it happens.

My boyfriend and I saw Tina Fey at a McDonald's with her daughter in 2014 on the Upper East Side. I didn't want to bother her so I pretended  I didn't realize she was there. She left her receipt on the counter after she left and I kept it ever since.

But she is also someone who says in interviews „I promise to always do my best to wrap my arms around you when I meet you“ so it may come as a surprise if that’s the same person who ignores fans.

I think it would be better for her (cause then maybe people wouldn’t approach her that much) if she would also talk about fan situations like this:“sometimes I like meeting fans sometimes I don’t please understand my boundaries“

That was me. I thought today people would be ragging on her piano playing. I guessed wrong, obviously. Who would've foreseen that in today's "Let's Tear Apart LG" roast, we'd be focusing on how fake and rude she is. 

I think tomorrow's complaints will be about how long it's taking her to release new music and how she keeps teasing fans.

Wait... What on earth  was wrong with her piano playing?? Once again these lame  stans invent these problems that the GP etc do not see. Everybody raving about the show but if you went to a fan account you'd swear it was a disaster 🤡

The picture happened way after security told us anything. We were just over there before security said anything.

Oh, no one actually criticized her piano playing (yet). It was a joke I wrote on another thread where someone asked what people would be nitpicking next, and I joked it would be her piano playing. Thank goodness we haven't gotten to that point, at least not that I know of.
