This song was the last nail in the coffin that made me unstan Gaga. It’s a non-album single released in the middle of an album era, it’s a generic tropical pop song that resembles the trend back then basically to test Gaga’s streaming power back then. It’s not a “parody” of a pop song, and if you think it is, just like WDYDT, it really shows how much you think the song is good lol where was the GP waiting for a music video anyway? If you like the song, good, but it’s an embarassing moment for Gaga’s career.

It's just that it's dangerously close to being mainstream basic pop girlie, and mainstream basic pop girlie gaga is not

At the time I was so thirsty for even more Gaga (though we had just gotten Joanne five months before).  Big fan of The Cure because, although it is "basic" or "generic," it still feels genuine -- like she's giving us a big hug and sharing lots of love (as basic as that sounds, I know).

I wasn’t a monster yet when she released it, only became a fan in august 2017. So when i had Gaga’s whole discography to discover in front of me, The Cure was incredibly basic especially compared to every one of her other songs. Just my view

I used to be a snobby fan like this but then I realised she doesn't exist to cater to my musical tastes. She does what she wants. 

I do think the song is basic for Gaga but it's still a good pop song. 

And no, it's not an embarrassing moment. You clearly take pop music too seriously.
