Each Republican gets the same amount of time to question as a Democrat. -This is the investigation and research stage. No defense gets to question witnesses until charges are filed and a trial begins. If the defense tries to interview and intimidate witnesses before the trial begins, that can and should be viewed as obstruction of justice. -These are classified depositions. They have to be held behind closed doors. Transcripts will be released and any necessary redactions will be made to protect sensitive material. -They are waiting to release the transcripts until they have interviewed everyone in order to prevent witnesses from editing their testimony or shaping their answers based on other witness testimonies.
