Supersonic 49,376
According to a recently published study, SUVs (Sports Utility Vans), are the second biggest contributor to worldwide carbondioxide emissions, It is only bested by the energy sector (coal fired power plants). Not only do these hugely popular cars use way more gasoline/petrol, they also use way more motor oil than regular cars. The top 6 causes of C02 (from 2000 until 2018) are: 1. Energy (coal plants) - 1,405 million tonnes 2. SUVs - 544 million tonnes 3. Heavy engineering (chemical industry, metal industry, paper industry) - 365 million tonnes 4. Trucks - 311 million tonnes 5. Airplanes - 233 million tonnes 6. If you need the space its all cool but if youre mostly alone youre just spending gas for nothing. I gas up my jetta about 1.5 times a month on average so thats not bad. Economy 52,861
No kidding. Theres millions of SUVs on the road and probably only tens of thousands of planes Anyway Coal is easier to replace than Oil and its also the one thats the worst for environment ppl that put all their focus fighting the oil industry should fight harder for green energy Also because electric cars wont help if half the electricity still comes from Coal
lordgagx 5,467
I got the Grand Cherokee just because I have 2 dogs and my other siblings have 2 doors cars, so we need something bigger in case more space is required. I'm not enjoying spending more gas thought and I know it's a big factor to the climate change, kind of frustrating because it is a very useful/practical car, but at the same time harmful for the environment.
