Not a Tulsi fan at all, but the idea that she's secretly some Russian spy is totally insane. 

Establishment Dems have been throwing that line out there every single time someone challenges the status quo in any meaningful way at all. Sanders' supporters, Jill Stein, leftists, American socialist organizations, and now even the Squad after they endorsed Bernie; anyone that challenges the Democratic party establishment in any way is either a Russian bot or some sort of agent of the Kremlin. Just... absolute nonsense. 

It's been clear for a while, but this just reaffirms that Clinton really does think and believe exactly what her most deranged fans on Twitter spew on a regular basis. And Tulsi is absolutely right about Clinton's record. She's a war criminal and absolutely embodies the corruption inherent in the vast majority of the Democratic party.

Tulsi and her supporters know she wont win or be in next debates. They know her polling wont raise enough. But this is a good way to continue spreading her message and be known enough to continue her fight after election as a congress woman and a veteran.

She didn’t say she was a spy though. Just that she’s Russia’s favorite. She didn’t lie. 

Tulsi didn’t lie about Hillary being a warmonger either.

She said that “the Russians” (I’ve always hated that phrase; it’s so broad and essentially vilifies an entire nation) are “grooming her” to be a third party candidate. That seems to imply that they’re directly engaging with her or her campaign. 

Again, I’m not a Tulsi fan at all. Her support for extremist, authoritarian leaders all over the world (like PM Modi in India) are disqualifying for me. I’m just objecting to the notion that everyone critical of the Democratic Party establishment is secretly some Russian asset, which is what centrist Democratic voters have been pushing for years.

I honestly didn’t take it that way. It’s known Russia is meddling in US elections and that can be directly or indirectly. 

Tulsi sounds exactly like Trump and have similar talking points that are very Putin-esque rhetoric. 

There’s a clear distinction that has to be made but it is a line easy to cross.

On policy: Hillary Clinton was right about Russia in 2016, and she was right about Russia today. There is no question at all as to whether Russia (and other countries, like Iran) have spread propaganda across the American electorate, and we also know for a fact that those propaganda campaigns were anti-Hillary.

On politics: How f*cking stupid do you have to be to alienate yourself from the 55% of Democratic primary voters who supported Hillary in 2016.

For those of you who hate corporate Democrats, you’re more than entitled to that opinion. Hate Obama. Hate the Clintons. Hate Biden. But Tulsi not agreeing with them doesn’t mean she’s their antithesis. I’d vote for any corporate Democrat over her. Her record is unlike any other Democrat running. Part of it is scary.
