can i add my theory here? i dont wanna start another rumour thread!

right after the BTW era and adeles 21 - and the grammy mess - songwriting sessions for both - ARTPOP and 25 begun. that was the time when gaga heavyly hinted on "every rose has its thorns" in almost every posting she did. but other than adele originally planned adele did not release her 25 album until 2015 because she got pregnant with her son.

gaga and adele were seen together in los angeles during that time and even posted a picture on instagram.

gaga told howard stern that her label wanted to have a adele moment on ARTPOP and this is how she endet up with dope (produced by rick rubin, adeles main producer). but neighter ARTPOP nor 25 contained a duet of both together or a song with "rose thorns" - maybe because neighter adele nor gaga did projects outside of their eras at all.

but adele stated several times that she had a collab with a major a lister planed for 25 that didnt happen because of sheudle problems.

what if they really have recorded a duet with rose thorns theme back then for ARTPOP/25 and now finally have their album eras matched up to release it on both albums and even can put it up for awards together as message of "not putting female singers against each other" statement. (like hey girl).

this would explain why gaga is now heavily back to the roses hinting and why she not released in april.

so... long story short... my idea is that they release the duet as first single of both albums now, wich would push both albums at the same time and would guarantee a domination.

Wow, that'd be pretty cool.

And...

Roses, lol.

Spoiler

I love the idea, but I can't see it happening. I'm not sure that either Adele or Gaga would want to double-up with their releases.

That said, it could be that Adele. ft Gaga is the second single or something, so not to detract from the comeback.

No idea but it's nice to dream :D

LOVE it. I love how well thought out this is and honestly its everything I have noticed as well all tied up. I still love your chaos theory post as well. I wish she could tie that in with the roses as well. Maybe she could if LG6 is going to be a 2 or 3 part album which is my ultimate dream :bradley:  Different vibes and themes but all link together to tell a story.

Thanks for the kind reply :)

I probably think way too much into these things - and I know some members on here really hate my kind of frequent speculation. But if we can't talk about Gaga theories here... then where can we?

And regards the Chaos Theory link - really interesting point.

There's kind of a synergy to these themes in my view.

Just as Gaga evolved from chaos: she also continued to love, grow and keep strong in darkness.

So, chaos = going through hard times, but transforming positively from them.

Black Rose = again, going through hard times, but keeping a belief in love, kindness and life.

Gaga is a rose that will keep on growing, using chaos - and growing thorns - to evolve into a more protected, transformed person.

The chaos represents the thorns, the rose represents the love and her kindness.

I don't know. It's just a thought and admittedly quite a reach. But I really enjoy thinking deeply about album themes, so I'll put it out there and however it's received, so be it... lol.

I think it could be called ‘Black Rose’ but I think it could also be called ‘Gorillas Are Awesome But They Throw Poop At You’

:applause:

Even if not Black Rose verbatim, the conceptual foundation is so deeply embedded in the existing narrative that it’s almost just a matter of how that’s going to translate in the form of the forthcoming album / era

The New York fashion marathon low-key reminded me of the Roseland Funeral mini-residency

which, in immediate retrospect, within the Black Rose conceptual framework, kind of makes seamless sense in terms of the “GAGA” renaissance of sorts … as the tenure since then has been almost definitively the “Lady” half of the proverbial dichotomy … if any of that makes any sense … so it’s almost like the resurrection of that Roseland motif, beyond the general theme or timing, Roseland and what it represents to Gaga’s New York / Gotham self, seems to align with the direction of the next album … but, none of this is binding, and obvs, beginning to ramble so … onward

The Chaos Theory interplay reminds me of this interpretation of the rose’s symbolism:

The rose is the flower of the goddess Venus, but also the blood of Adonis and of Christ. It is a symbol of transmutation – that of taking food from the earth and transmuting it into the beautiful fragrant rose. The rose garden is a symbol of Paradise. It is the place of the mystic marriage. In ancient Rome, roses were grown in the funerary gardens to symbolize resurrection. The thorns have represented suffering and sacrifice as well as the sins of the Fall from Paradise.

Which, a lot of narrative overlap and thematic synchronicity between the rose, historically, and the metaphorical mythologies within Gaga’s anthology (if any of that, makes any sense … but e.g.  Venus, Christ, transmutation, Roseland Funeral (funerary gardens), so on, such forth, [inserts additional reach here], etc.)

And, I have no idea why, but Black Rose reminds me of “Midnight in a Perfect World” from DJ Shadow’s album, Endtroducing… so, that’s an inconsequential aside.

There’s so much contained within the concept, collectively, but it all works in a specific harmony; and it’s all good fun, even if only for the sake of conversational consideration — thoroughly enjoyable theoretical musing

All of them have released except for Kendrick and Gaga. Why do we never win ? Delayed for a makeup line?  :icega:

It's a good observation and well thought out. However, I highly doubt she even knows if she is making an album or not let alone knowing an album title/theme. This is not Taylor Swift. She wore rose because she's random.

I don't want that. I want lady killer Gaga who don't mess around. Gimme that dominatrix heroine fantasy that I like! :flower:

If it is, I'm unstanning. The fans have ran this "____ rose" album title into the ground for the past 7 years and I'm... :lolga:

Very well thought out, extremely great analysis! “Black Rose” would be a lovely concept, but with some points I feel like it would be way too coincidental - aside from the literal roses and rose imagery. One could argue that she just loves roses, it doesn’t quite necessarily have to be directly related to an album title.
