"Also, current vegetarians and vegans were more likely to name multiple reasons for avoiding meat and/or animal products, whereas many of the exes only reported one motivational factor, usually health. "

Ah, this explains it. I appreciate health vegans/vegetarians for still fighting the fight, but I low key role my eyes internally when people say that's their reason for going veggie, because they're always the first to jump right off the bandwagon. :rip:Ā Again, glad I can't relate, I'm vegan for the animals, the planet, other people (because producing plants as food yields more actual food thus feeing more people), and my health.Ā :gayhat:

I have, that’s how I know you are wrong.

it’s actually so funny how you use false information to inflate you own ego.
Ā

I can’t be bothered with this again with you Craig. Ā

I have done extensive research into this, that's how I know that I am right... its nothing to do with inflating my own egoĀ  :ladyhaha:Ā Ā

As they should. We need meat or at least animal products like milk. I'm always shook when I see how people were before they went vegan and how they're now. They don't look healthy at all.

You do realize that milk is meant for infants, right? We're the only species (as far as I know) that not only drinks milk beyond the age of weaning, but drinksĀ the milk of a damn different species. :lmao:Ā Why do you think most of the world is lactose intolerant? It's because most people's bodies naturally lose the ability to break down lactose as we age because - again - most of our species stopped drinking milk past weaning throughout our history.

And speak for yourself, I'm just about 8.5 years vegan and I'm sitting here pretty and healthy. :nails:Ā (AĀ little bloated because I ate too much yesterday, okay, but the point stands. :rip:)

If I ever do it, I'd probably end up doubling carbs and fats diet-wise to actually fill up. I go vegan when I fastĀ and I find I always put on weight due to increasing carbs/fats. Vegetables/Fruit/Lentils aren't substantial enough for me.Ā

But don't vegans hassle people about eating meat? It's just a retaliation.

But I alwaysĀ see 50 people complaining about "these damn radical vegans hassling the ones who don't think like them"Ā before to meet an actual radical vegan who gonna hassle non-vegansĀ lol. :DĀ

That's why, to me, it seems to beĀ more about not addressing the actual issues byĀ making it about vegans being too this or too that ( with wide exaggerations toĀ make a more compelling point ) than anything else.

The only reasons someone would start looking terrible after a vegan diet is if the diet wasn't nutritive enough just like with a poorly nutritive non-vegan diet. It's not the fact it's vegan it's the fact it's not complete.

i do believe alot of the fighting on either side has caused people to go back to eating animals.

as a vegan i can say firsthand ive lost friends over my lifestyle, though i try to be compassionate and take an educational approach when talking about veganism with friends

So you were not telling your friends about your view with a "better than you" attitude yet they dumped you over that?

Sorry but it doesn't sounds like real friends to begin with...

Maybe they were bothered that you were reminding them they do something that isn't helping the planet, animal rights etc therefore got rid of you cause they couldn't own their choice in front of you which is childish...

The bottom line is being vegetarian or vegan doesn’t always suit everyone and that’s fine and it isn’t bad for you either.Ā I think that people should consciouslyĀ eat less meat for environmental, health, and other reasons. If you don’t want to then that’s cool to.

It take a certain amount ofĀ responsibility to make sure you are getting the vitamins and nutrients you need (hey, that’s what vitamins tablets are for).Ā I’m not perfect at it, I know I’m lacking in some nutrients and vitamins and that’s fine as I’m working on it but I don’t want to eat meat because I do not like it. Unlike cavemenĀ I’m lucky enough that there other options for me in modern society and I don’t need to eat meat.Ā

Some of you carnivores in this thread are worse than the stereotypical preachy vegans. Don’t be a **** about it.Ā

Most vegans I've met have been militant and judging my this thread, it's evident.

If vegans didn't talk to people with such disrespect, then this issue would not exist. You can't abuse other people and then say 'iTs MaKiNg Me AnGrY'. If you come for someone, they will come for you, no matter how significant you think your point is. Simple as.

I understand it's a movement and the intention is to stop meat consumption, but I remember that PETA advert calling meat eaters 'weak ass mother****ers'. Like seriously? That's how you're going to get people to stop eating meat? People have eaten meat from the very start so you're calling billions of people who have lived on the earth 'twats'?Ā Sounds about right.

I really can’t see myself becomingĀ vegetarianĀ in the next 5-10Ā years but people change so never say never I guessĀ

Veganism is a straight no for me though. Milk runs through my veins:tea:Ā
