"Joanne" the album and the song really saved my life. If I ever meet Gaga, I’ll tell her why and how.
She’s so amazing! Look at her! And her voice ahhh :diane:

This is another reason why I'll support Joanne even if it's my least favorite album, along with other artist's work I'll always support when an artist does what they want in their work even if I don't like it because of things like this.

That was a cute interview. Joanne is truly an amazing song, both sonically and lyrically, I find it to be a tad underrated TBH.

I always thought so too, especially when the album came out! The other ballads seemed to get more attention initially, and then obviously MR took the attention when it became a cute hit.

It wasn’t until it won a Grammy that I felt Joanne finally got it’s deserved recognition. I’ve always thought of it as one of her top songs, no matter which version.

This is beautiful. I love Gaga and Mark so much ❤️

Anyone who is still convinced that Joanne is her “least authentic” era should spend the 2 minutes watching this.

Joanne is a strange album. This past month I’ve tried giving it another shot and the songs I was “meh” on before have started to grow on me but the songs I originally disliked I’ve just grown to dislike even more. :ladyhaha:

Same,  sis. I feel like a flop fan, but I like the album a lot less than I did when it first came out. I think I only liked it initially because it was new music from Gaga.

I'm glad other people are connecting to it though. The people who do like Joanne seem to feel pretty strongly about it.

I recently got back into Joanne again and love it even more.:sara:

Sometimes you gotta respect that you may not be in the right mindspace to accept a certain sound, or be truly objective, at first  listen. Something I fear with all these expectations I'm hearing for LG6 tbh.

Also, Sinners Prayer is total TEA right? F#ck can she write a song!

So glad that she won a Grammy for "Joanne," especially knowing that it's something she felt she had to write about, and how important it is to her and her family.  I wish we could've seen more footage like this in Five Foot Two––don't get me wrong, I enjoy the documentary, but I would've loved to have seen footage of her and Mark initially coming up with the beginning to the song "Joanne," or their conversations about the album, etc. I feel like the album was already well underway by the time they started filming it.

And her comments about Mark are so sweet. Their friendship is beautiful.

It absolutely was. Chris came in roughly midway through the process by the sound of it. It would have been so rad to see the album beginning to take shape rather than it being more production and tweaking and such.

I didn't realize he did Like A Feather. I loved that sound. And forgot about oowee and Just. Love all of these songs!

Gaga needs to do voiceover or audio books or something. Her speaking voice has such a rich character now. I want her to tell me bedtime stories :awesome: Remembering Mark telling Boy George he had the road in his voice. Same.

This is a pretty good doc but wonder why the end just stopped so coldly  So much yummy archival media. The interview with BC was a nice addition too.
