LG6 commercial expectations?

Featured Posts

Hey hunties! So we all know the commercial aspect of the record isn't the most important but what are some of the commercial expectations you may have for the era? Opening week figures, long run total sales and certfications, singles chart success, streams, YT views, dowloands etc? Let's kill some time since today is a bit of a boring day

Album opening with 350K first week and lead single debut inside TOP 10 of HOT 100 with the hopes of it to rise #1 organically is all I want. YouTube views I can’t expect her to slay cause she’s weak there. Also I hope LG6 has LONGEVITY. I wish LG6 the best and I’ll be supporting.

This is what will happen most probably

Numbers sound realistic...but I could easily see the lead debuting at #1, or in the top 5, depending on when she releases. But she's always been an album artist more than a singles artist....I feel like the 350k will be mostly pure sales, too.

TBH I hope monsters don't cause her issues. So many are convinced it's dance or techno, and if it's more regular pop or rock...she won't please everyone...and when monsters are disgruntled, even if it is not that many, they get very vocal on social media. Few want to admit it, but the stans relentlessly b*tching about Perfect Illusion on twitter probably hurt her—like the fan backlash was so bad I remember it being covered by some blogs/magazines and it dampened some of the buzz for Joanne. Not saying everyone has to like everything Gag's does, but some stans were tweeting 10 20x about how they thought PI was the "worst" ever, etc....compare it to how T Swift's fans were sunny about the so so ME! and did streaming parties, etc. Anyway, there's a middle ground between the stan behavior around PI and the Swifities if a stan doesn't like a single.

Also, her YT numbers are always kind of poor (with the exception of Shallow and BR)..but that's not that big of a deal.  However, hopefully her team cracks down on the "non official" youtube videos that don't count towards her overall streaming #s.

300k or more  for the album first week, the lead going #1 and other 3-4 top 10s (all of them being also worldwide hits). She (still) has the post ASIB hype from the GP and we can see it in her recent twitter likes. :queenga:

I think she can break 400k for opening week with a worth Shallow-followup as the lead. I'd love to see 1-2 #1s (or at the very least one) with ~2 other Top 10 singles.

Honestly don't care, have no clue about charts and streaming and am glad because the way some of you obsess over it must take the fun out of it. I'm here for her music  and I'm pretty sure I'll like it and that's all that matters to me

And if it's not to my taste then I'll respect  her musical direction and exploration and not throw a fit about it. She knows what she's doing.

I never knew fans didn't like Perfect Illusion until I started reading fansites. I remember it coming out and her doing press around it and I loved it.  Gaga has the most contrary fan base I've ever seen though. It's like they want to hurt her feelings with some of the stuff they pump to go viral. I'll never understand it. Well I guess I do, they just want clout and attention by being trolls.

Just because they didn't like the song they have to throw tantrums?  Do they even realise what they act like..
