At this point Democrats will likely nominate Warren as their candidate, if not  Biden. I don't think Dems as a party like Bernie that much actually. If he lost for the second time, we can confirmed that

polling suggests that Bernie has the highest favorability among all candidates. So idk why you feel this way unless you’re paying attention to what the cable news is telling you. I trust morning consult on favorability because of their large sample size & bc they do this poll every week.

i wish Sanders and Warren merged together. Like if he concedes and becomes her vice president candidate (or vice versa) they'd literally obliterate Trump.

Does that really mean anything? People always running their mouth and keep their actual intention shut. He was favorable too the last time, and we know how it went.  :sharon:

It's all come back to the required number of delegates, including both pledged and unpledged delegates (superdelegates), to secure the nomination. Clinton secured a majority of pledged delegates after winning the California and New Jersey primaries. If you think Bernie have the chance to win these delegates, good for you. But pretty sure Biden and Warren have lots of cronies friends to back them up when it is time to, the way Hillary was.

See below. It’s a very interesting read. The difference between last time & now is that Bernie is so well known that the rules of engagement are different & people are watching more closely than last time. People are starting to learn that their vote matters. There’s no way it could not if there is so much effort to suppress the vote & the clownery implied here. The only way this is going to work is when you engage. A lot of people on here see what I am doing as aggressive etc etc but what I’m trying to do is make people THINK about why they’re voting for one person or another. I make my case for Bernie with links, facts, policies and everything hoping that more people see that what is happening is important & we all have a stake in this.

No one's out of this yet though. I mean, loom at McCain in 2008. He was...what? 5th? In the GOP primary. Not even close to being a front runner. And he ended up facing Obama.

Bernie's campaign isn't dead in the water. He's definitely hurting though and I think it's interesting that he's not looking to conventional progressives or Democrats for support, he wants to get non-voters off their asses and to the polls.

I'm interested to see how it plays out. With any luck, that'll be the next "revolution" he brings about :gayhat:

So, in other words, you have absolutely no legitimate reason at all. Got it. :air:

If Trumpettes can make "GRAB ME BY THE P*SSY" shirts then I can say "eh, I just like her better and have more faith in her"

Using the behavior of Trump supporters asking the president to grab their v*ginas to justify supporting a less progressive candidate over a more progressive one for no real reason makes absolutely no sense. :air:

Im sorry but when are people just going to bring up the fact that if Elizabeth Warren is chosen as the democratic candidate it's because the female vote especially after Trump has power. Women want to see a female president and Elizabeth is the younger female COPY of Bernie Sanders.

I've said repeatedly that Bernie's more progressive but I don't believe he'll be EFFECTIVE.

I'd rather have some promises and some results than all the promises and no results.

He just wants too much in too little of a time and while I agree with him and his stances I know he will not be able to get all this reform done and save the world in 4/8 years.

Meanwhile, Warren, just like Hillary would have done, will at least get us on the right path to make real, positive change within the next few decades.

She's also more likeable :ohwell:

Imagine voting based on identity politics and not policies.

Let’s remind everyone we had a woman candidate last time who lost to a mysoginist.

Warren is not a copy of Sanders. They’re similar on issues but not copies of each other.

Go back to Jimmy Carter and the peanut brigade. He went from a peanut farmer in GA with zero chance of winning and he became president due to grassroots support and changing the people who showed up to vote. Bernie’s strategy in the recent Iowa retail politics events suggest he’s taking a leaf from this playbook. Canvassing instead of sign wars etc. At the steak fry in Iowa, Warren did the same thing, which means there’s a reason she keeps following his lead. Because it works.

But she isn’t a copy. They have very different ideas of what theories of change are & how to get things done. Warren likes to work within the system in order to make tweaks around the edges & through means testing. Bernie speaks of revolution and change from an organizing/bottom up way & through universal policies. In other words, they may have very similar policies compared to the rest of the field but the details & how they go about implementing them are entirely different.

I'm not bumping this thread anymore after this, but this response indicates several things:

1. You're a former Clinton supporter who holds a grudge against Sanders for daring to run in the 2016 primaries. (Shocker. :rip:)

2. The fact that you genuinely believe that Republicans wouldn't have attempted to block every single thing Clinton would have done as President (they were literally talking about attempting to impeach her leading up to November when it seemed like she was going to win) is hilarious. Any democratic president, including Warren (who they will bash relentlessly with the Native scandal), will be opposed uniformly by the right. (Were you asleep during the Obama years? :air:) Only one candidate, Sanders, is advocating building a mass movement to get leftists elected to pass a leftist platform.

3. Someone else in this thread has already given you hard data pertaining to the fact that Sanders is the most liked of any of the candidates, and he's consistently been ranked the most popular politician in America for several years. However, if you're actually going to vote for a politician with a worse platform, record and ideology because you find them to be more likable, I think that says everything about your level of political awareness. :air:

So much this.

If you want the most progressive or leftist just go ahead and vote for them in the primary.

Any Democrat will be attacked ruthlessly by the right. It doesn’t matter in that aspect.
