AJRocketMan 2,684
I’m not surprised you posted something like this, considering this pompous attitude that plagues your posts which scream “I’m not like other Gaga fans” BS. Most of us aren’t like what you describe. Gaga fans are some of the best people on earth when you meet them in person. Also, this is the life she chose for herself. She wanted a commercial music career and she knew what she was getting herself into when she entered this industry. Music is a business. You can’t just do whatever the f*ck you want if you want to be successful. You have to keep in mind the sounds, styles, and structures that consumers find most compelling and work within those subsequent boundaries to make your own musical product to offer the public. Nightwing 518
Because she has a passion for art? That's reason enough. Though she's given a lot of herself, she's still very much in the beginning stages of her career.

I'm sure that's true. The question is why some of them turn into true monsters online. Not just a Gaga fan problem obviously, but a problem affecting all of social media. Are people's true colors coming out online when they don't have to worry about the social aspects of meeting face to face? I'm afraid that's true. Or are they just putting on a hard edge act? If so, it needs to stop, because it has real world effects on real world people.

People are a lot braver when it comes to saying stuff online as opposed to in person or in front of someone's face. Sometimes a nasty online attitude is the result of their personality showing without restraint, other times it's peer pressure, but every time it's kind of inexcusable. Especially when it's something as innocuous as music. Or fashion. Or make-up. Yeah lol.

Much of her original pop fan base has turned into demanding, judgmental, inconsiderate people who have made her social media a toxic wasteland and think her kindness message is silly (while complaining that Gaga doesn’t interact with them anymore). They will find reasons to hate on her new music anyway. What motivation does she have to stay in the pop industry? If she scanned your post history in GGD would she say “this person is why I do this” or “I don’t need this person in my life?” if I was her I’d concentrate on acting and Broadway, do whatever singer/songwriter/jazz/rock music I wanted to do with no consideration of pop radio and on my timeline. I’d basically tell pop fans “I’m done with this mess, thanks for the cash. I hope you follow my journey, but if not, I’m glad you enjoyed previous stuff. Bye. “ She has no reason at all to put up with the BS. Like I said and was dragged and laughed at (per usual on GGD) - LG6 will be the last. She doesn’t need this ish. Franch Toast 27,124
This is all speculation of course, but I think she'll continue to make music–on her own terms–because she loves writing and performing music. As she's remarked, she'll be an old lady rockstar with sleeves of tattoos. However, this doesn't mean she will make music that always pleases her fanbase, and it doesn't mean she'll put out albums at the same pace as before. She could end up taking an extended hiatus between LG6 and her next album (which I hope is acoustic and J&P versions of her songs, please Mama Monster). She also claims that acting is her dream, and if she wants to continue acting, the sad reality is that actresses in Hollywood have a short shelf life. That might not be the case for everyone, but it is for many. In other words, she needs to strike while the iron is hot. I could see her focusing on acting for a while, and not just in film, but also on stage. Maybe we'll finally get BroadwayGa! Meanwhile, she often has talked about wanting to have kids. I don't know if she still does, or whether she'd do so on her own, but she may turn her attention to that sometime in the next few years. In short, I could see her backing away from her music career for a bit, but I don't think she'd ever fully leave it. She's not a typical pop star and has many interests and talents. She might even want to work more on Haus Labs and her Foundation for a while. Also, I don't think fans being jerks necessarily would impact her decision. We know she loves and appreciates her fans, but she still does what she wants. So, if she wants to stay in the pop industry or music industry at large, it probably would have less to do with pleasing her fans and more to do with her innate desire to be musician. Similarly, if she decides to recede from the music industry, it's likely that it'd be because she wants to focus on other things/take some time off for her personal life and not because of a small subset of hypercritical monsters. And finally, the bulk of her fanbase, including new and casual fans from the GP, is fiercely protective and supportive of her. Just look how many people are commenting on social media that they're off to buy more HL products after watching her sweet video with her fan Brandon. People adore her. While some fans may be fair-weather, many will support her in just about any endeavor. She/Her/Hers

KNJ 4,170
I don't think she hates the fans . I think, like everyone, hates the fans' bullsh!t. And when certain fans are on their bs (#firesarahtanno?!? Are you effing kidding me!) I wouldnt blame her, Beyonce, Rihanna or whomever, for keeping their distance from this toxic waste site. At this point in the age of the social media, it's about mental health and self-preservation. As for creating, you do that for yourself. Like she said, she'd still be doing this in a bar downtown if no one knew her name. I think a true fan respects that she lives her own life, will make her own choices and doesn't hold her to unrealistic expectations about her work. You'll just disappointed. Could you predict any thing about the way her career has gone? Her choices? Could you even fathom a Lady Gaga could even exist before she just showed up??? She has achieved young legend status, like Beyonce. Her success and achievements are hard-earned and undeniable. She has the eternal respect of her peers. Her place in pop culture will be permanent and unforgettable. She is "free" to make what she pleases because it won't kill her.I can't wait to see what she does next. No matter what she does it will be awesome and different. I don't understand the entitlement of some GGD/LMs demanding her to be more than thatThere's a sad irony in seeing her own fans judge her for being herself. Root her on for having the balls to be herself. Isn't that why you're a fan ? I don’t pay attention to what is trending or what people necessarily want to see me as. I’m just always me, whether people like it or not. - LG, People Magazine, Sept 2019 Just be here for the ride. It's been great for ten yrs so far, so...
