Ivy 12,707
Maybe she takes more risks than a lot of people would, so people feel uncomfortable and worry she will fail. Also they want her to just do music since that's what they love the most. Enigma hate I don't really get but I guess a lot wish she were touring, or that the show was more like her old shows the meow in zombieboy
Diamond heart99 5,262
I don’t have a lot of empathy for the self preservation pessimism to TBH. 1) Grow up. 2) Repeat #1 Lady Gaga has proved herself over and over again. Only one of her albums wasn’t well received by the GP which happens to EVERY musician Tries acting - wins a golden globe Leads a feature film - Oscar nomination for acting Puts our a makeup line - best seller on Amazon. It’s time to take a clue. Even if the next thing she does, isn’t a hit, it doesn’t mean a goddamn thing. Adakam 2
Well I always had faith in ASIB. About the make up, just to be clear, me not liking it/thinking is a hypocrite idea by someone who swore she would never put her name on products like the perfumes again/or that I believe that slapping the "empowerment" message on it is complete bs, is 100% unrelated to thinking she would fail/the make up would flop. I knew it was going to be a success for sure, but that doesnt mean I HAVE to like it or that I cant express my opinion about it, and it certainly doesnt mean that I wished her to fail. Except she didn’t just “put her name on it” Bub. She started a company. Huge difference. Why does that keep getting lost? I agree that you don't have to like the product if you don't want to. It doesn't automatically mean you wish she would fail. However, I do disagree with your statement that what she is doing is hypocritical, since you can do much more with makeup than perfume. And I do think some people do feel empowered when they wear makeup, so I think Gaga just tried to relate to those people with the empowerment message. I get that, but its just make up, it wont make you feel any more empowered than any of the other 362768 brands out there. Just feels like she grabbed her own Born this way message and slapped it into the make up just because she is Gaga. She couldve based the make up on music culture, avant garde fashion, and pish for something more original than "this make up will empower you because I say so"

She couldve based the make up on music culture, avant garde fashion, and pish for something more original than "this make up will empower you because I say so" She has taken the message of Born This Way and used it all throughout her career so far, though? Why not for makeup, which DOES connect to the message of loving yourself? To me it makes perfect sense. Also the difference between FAME and Haus Labs is that she was basically forced to do FAME because her management wanted to make as much money as they could. Haus Labs was obviously an organic project which she wanted to venture into and do. There is definitely a huge difference. You can tell she's passionate about this. She was passionate about FAME too, but in a different way. She was passionate about the collaboration and creating the art, not about making the money. Same as with HL, it's just with HL she doesn't have Troy grovelling at her feet to promote the brand so he can get his cut (Eau De Gaga). It's sad that fans doubt Gaga or question her decisions. She's one of the smartest woman in the business, ya'll need to trust her more. The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

Shallow become one of her signature hits too. Now, Haus Labs is getting mostly positive reviews from everyone even from makeup gurus like Jeffree Star. And people said it wouldn't do well. Why? Because if Gaga isn't creating music for them to pussypop to with thot-tastic music videos to match, they're not happy. There is no correlation. Like, you are doubting Gaga success based on things she promised, but maybe her management didn't let her go through it. I meant, we doubt her promises. That’s all.
