So of course Gaga’s not going to put her name on sh!tty makeup.  And Jeffery Star has more of an influence in the makeup world than Gaga does.  Him giving her makeup a positive review (which, yes, is well deserved because it is a good product apparently) is HUGE promo and will help boost Gaga’s sales.  You guys mentioning Kylie is kinda irrelevant.  She does not need Jeffery stars approval to sell what she can sell with her name alone.  She’s a kardashian.  She can put out anything and the world will buy it and love it.   However when Gaga puts out makeup people are going to be unsure and probably uninterested until someone like Jeffery tells people it’s good and worth their money.  That is advertisement.  He’s doing business for Gaga and would he DUMB not to have a deal to make a profit off the sales he just helped her get.  I believe his video was sponsored by haus labs.

Sorry but I still fail to see why this person's review matters. As someone else said, stop giving so much power to these people on youtube who cause drama to get views because the more views they get and the more likes they get, the more they get paid by Youtube. Unless they don't monetize the video, I could careless about reviews from these youtube people.

I've never watched one of his videos until this one.  Now I feel like I should watch more.

They're quite fun to watch! I really enjoy the weird make up ones he does like the pizza eye shadow palette or the colour changing foundation, his reactions are great

People say he has "influence on the makeup world", show me this influence, show me how it matters, makeup companies do just fine regardless of what he says. Makeup existed long before him, and it will exist long after.

The biggest BEAUTY Influencer in Youtube and Beauty Community as a whole.. meaning, his opinion and reviews are very much respected..

Also, 16M Subscribers.. even bigger than Gagz :toofunny:

Sweetie, this is delusion. He is not the biggest beauty influencer on youtube or the beauty community.

Jeffree Star is a very big name in the make up community! If it helps, it's a similar situation to Gaga and Bradley performing Shallow at the Oscars for the exposure. the video has 3.4m views in 21 hours and those 3.4m will be a huge part of Haus Labs demographic

You don't have to like Jeffree but it's a bit silly to say his review doesn't matter

My last comment on this.... People are confusing POPULARITY with having an effect on the makeup world.  He may be popular but it doesn't mean make up companies are clamoring to see what he has to say about their products.

Jeffree was a make up artist and a musician, much like people in his generation, like Gaga and MCR, they were all started from Myspace.

But it doesn't work in her favor. So she started her own make up line since 2014 instead which is clearly sticks, and why she is quite reputable in beauty community. She actually got creds, not just overnight fame by virality.

She? i thought Jeffree was and still consider himself as a man?

I see the delusion continues.

Just because YOU don’t know or like someone doesn’t mean they don’t have influence.

Get over yourselves.

He gives a review and makeup sells out for months some times. lol Millions of people watch his video. that's millions of people hearing a positive review on a product. Its promo and a good narrative. Its delusional to think he does not have a significant impact in the beauty world.

Yes they are, though.

Not getting his stamp of approval would be like leaving money on the table. These beauty influencers COINED the word “influencer” because of the market power their videos have.

Chill out.
