bxr 1,016
Musing on a hypothetical … let’s say LG6 is conceptually linked with a Labs “Haus” line, and a revamped return to the roots; imo it might be low-key legendary to pick up the next era — sonic cinematically speaking — from a past life prelude … so, for the sake of musing in the meantime, I was wondering: What existing music video prequel (a la: “The Fame, Pt. 1;” “Telephone;” etc.) would you have LG6 lead single’s video sequel? (But, then I was also like … cultivate the context — so, added in the options for album title, Haus theme, and lead single song title.) Fwiw, here’s mine, at this moment in time … Album (Title / Haus Concept) — GAGA [Motif: Haus of Rose B*tch] Lead Single: Title / Video Sequel — “Gotham Haus (Angeles Crown)” / “The Fame, Pt. 2” (with undertonal hints of a “Marry the Night” precursor) That’s it for the top-line takeaway … the rest of this is just backgrounder riffing on the concept … Spoiler Slight post-script: Haus wise, I figure (and think the forum sorted at some juncture) the other albums go something like: The Fame — Haus of Rockstar ; The Fame Monster — Haus of Chained Ballerina ; Born This Way — Haus of Metalhead ; ARTPOP — Haus of Goddess ; Joanne — Haus of Dynasty ; which leaves Haus of Rose B*tch as the (quasi-)logical link to LG6 (tbh, heavy rose imagery leading into this era: from La Vie En…’s prominence during the ASIB bridge cycle between albums / eras, the tattoo, the white roses and such … could be reaching but w/e) So, the concept (within the Haus context): conceptually, it feel like Haus Labs kind of alludes to the thematic lens of a transition into enigmatic transformation with the definition: “ROSE B*TCH noun /rōz//biCH/ — Someone who reinvents themselves through beauty.” Since the coming era is quite literally Gaga’s musical reinvention (or return, at least) ushered in through a beauty line brand expansion, it made sense … but, then, also just the symbolic / thematic everything else about the rose and the (free) b*tch … so, but anyways Then from the concept — the title: just the obvious placeholder in the meantime … and the entirety of GAGA, and what it means as the moniker defining the next era’s conceptual theme … Thus, continuing — the lead single and video sequel - “Gotham Haus (Angeles Crown)”: Gaga was, is, and always will be that Gotham (middle name Chaos?) Angel of zeitgeist pop; the born-this-way-on-Broadway-baby underground pop civilization aught pop native monarch. So, conceptually, the lead single reinforces, reiterates, and remind defines that origin identity within the walls of said artist’s hallowed Haus. Basically, New York runs through her veins and complete artistic identity, so this opus album brings that back to the fore as a foundation of GAGA here and now (also, Haus as a running theme across the current narrative trajectory, and alluding to the projected sonic aesthetic of house music): “Gotham Haus.” On the other side of the spectrum is Gaga’s conflicted relationship with Hollywood. Ever since ARTPOP, Hollywood has been Gaga’s battleground, and with each TV/Film triumph, she’s moved her way up that industry ladder, and now — among other accolades — is a quite literal member of The Academy; therefore, broadly speaking, sitting atop Sunset at the Hollywood apex: “Angeles Crown.” So, GAGA, now bridging those two worlds of New York and Hollywood, emerges into her sixth solo sonic iteration to regale with tales of kingdoms conquered on the rhythmic wings of “Gotham Haus (Angeles Crown).” Also, kind of went with Angeles Crown as a play on the rose’s symbolic tie to the Fall from Paradise, but here Paradise Lost is pivoted to Paradise Found, so “Angeles” as an ersatz Eden and “Crown” rhymes with Found. Spoiler In retrospect, it could just be simplified to “Gotham Angel” or “Gotham Angeles” … but, anyway And somewhat finally — the video sequel (The Fame, Pt. 2 ft. Marry The Night, The Re-Nupt): all of the above mentioned just feel like “The Fame, Pt. 2;” but, at the same time, “Marry the Night, Pt. Deux,” resonated heavy on the low-key … from a sort of a Bury the Light / Midnight Divorcee scenario — pick up on the other side of that bridge, daybreak from the dark side of the moon to stake claim on the game and the fame once more, again again … All of that said, I just made that up as I went along. None of it is binding or a projection in the slightest, and at most, is a general concept of an underlying theme … I wasn’t really thinking of a single at the onset, basically I was just wondering what sequel you all would want the LG6 lead video to be if it was an option, and everything kind of spun out of control from there … but, so it is, and here we are: c’est la vie en rose b*tch (as, no kids say). Tbh that’s all a lot happening at one time … if you lost your train of thought at any point in the rambling roam … just take the post as a conceptual riff … but if you remembered the origin question, by all means, feel free and welcome to chime in with your ideas and ruminations 🎶
Maleficent 6
I really don't see her doing a Telephone sequel imo. She said that was her least favourite music video, and the director added the "To Be Continued" just for fun and no one ever took it out (it wasn't pre-mediated by Gaga/'s team). I hope she does help push the industry back into music videos with a storyline (which she is so amazing at, even during the Joanne Era). Recent videos like ME!, You Need To Calm Down, Never Really Over, Fk It I Love You/The greatest all have a theme but not a true storyline (perhaps the only one in recent memory is God Control, but I find that video hard to watch). Madame Goo Goo 3,834
We should pick up where John Wayne left off, with dead Gaga getting resurrected by the power of dance pop music. Lady Gaga doesn't owe us anything

I was heavily considering that … as kind of a plot pivot on the “The End” … full-stop resurrection, a dance floor coup de cowboy country (or something to that general effect)
Battle 4 Ur Life 6,698
I don’t know much about video sequels on LG6. I’ve str8 up given up on Paparazzi/Telephone Part 3. the “to be continued” really looks like just an aesthetic choice (and a cliche) at this point. that being said I still have hopes for LG6 being the visual album we all dreamed of for Gagz. in that case all your ideas seem really interesting tbh. “Fantastic, chic, freak, slay.”
James Gibson 3,480
I would like it to be linked with Enigma and it could be an opportunity to revamp the show. The concepts of her as a video game character/ sci fi queen/ petga / futuristic diva is really interesting to me and could deliver some awesome storylines and visuals. Just call a very creative director who's into these stuff to pump up the story and making something epic cause the potential is there.
McYves 1,612
I want brand-new concepts, tbh. But I voted The Fame. Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch, just drink my ****ing coffee and watch 90's cartoons and hush
AJRocketMan 2,684
I voted G.U.Y. I want a music video like that again and I want it to be a continuation of that plot. @Timmers what’s your input?
