I know LG6 is coming in 2020. If Gaga were to surprise drop the album, there would be little chance for promo considering it’s the streaming age and once albums come out the hype is dead.

So to keep the fans interested and to keep momentum for the album going, she’d Have to release all of the singles before the album comes out, and she can’t spread them out too far otherwise people will lose interest. I expect at least a song or two from the album this year so if I were her I would drop the lead single in September, the follow-up in November, the third in January, the fourth in March, and the fifth and final single at the beginning of May, with the album dropping at the end of it. All music videos for their respective singles should be released on the same day, or at the very least the same week. This is really the only good marketing strategy for music that works today.

I hate the streaming era so f*cking much. It’s taken the fun out of everything. :saladga:

You're completely right.

But there *could* be the possibility of Gaga choosing to cram this strategy between now - late October.

It would be a short era, but that's probably what works for her and the streaming era, too.

September: two singles

October: two singles + album

Wrong. She's announcing f next week. Then she'll be the huge rumored guest at the Ellen show, and once released she'll perform and promote f there, you fools:fan: #DangerousPainIsComing

Talking seriously: it's probably going to end like you just said tho, let's be real:selena:

I forgot we’re in September and still no announcement whatsoever :messga:

Anyway, i’m still positive we’ll get something by the end of this year. She did say she wanted the album to be a surprise so i wouldn’t say that’s so unlikely. :vegas:

Nah sis, that’s like almost a year since the first single. :triggered:

She doesn’t need a Katy Perry kind of promo cause she actually has an album in store for us. I’d say a well treated single per month would be very good :vegas:

Also Gaga wouldn’t sacrifice her vision and her time just cause of “the streaming era” :triggered:

I firmly believe we’re getting a single the same day as the make up. What is that, like next week?

if not then: 2:flop: 2:rip:

honestly about the thing with Adele, i don't think is set in stone, yes she is a powerhouse and so far is unbeatable, but so was Taylor Swift and now Lover has a "normal" success, she's not over the other girls. Of course Taylor has "exhausted" her image a lot more than Adele, with 2 albums, 2 features and a lot of controversies while Adele is still untouched since 25, but eventually, i think she'll be like Taylor

Awakened M

As long as Nintendo keeps feeding the children, my hunger for LG6 can wait patiently.

I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

I mean even if she drops it in 2020 she’ll still be competing with Adele at every award show not to mention Adele’s album will have long ass longevity into 2020. So pushing LG6 doesn’t even make that much sense. Also, what a missed opportunity to have the most #1 albums this decade by a female 😭, she really should have released during the met gala. Ugh, house beauty and enigma really threw a wrench in new music coming this year. I miss when gaga didn’t take 3+ years to release albums.

Well, I would be disappointed if LG6 came and went that fast, but I would understand it. That would feel so anticlimactic though. :smh: The reason why I believe that LG6 should be released several months after the era begins is because she most likely won't tour for this album, so I think to make up for that she would have to give her fans as much content as possible. Billie Eilish may still be releasing music videos for her album "Asleep", but she's an exception.

It's never been unusual to release the final single almost a year after the lead comes out. Madonna's "Rain" was sent to radio in August of 1993, while the lead single to Erotica, the title track, came out in September of the previous year. Nowadays, it's not unusual to release albums almost a year after the lead single comes out. Billie Eilish did this. I think Gaga should give it a shot. She wouldn't be sacrificing her artistic vision for the streaming era, but her team would have to adjust their business ideas to fit the streaming era better. Joanne was her first album released during the streaming era, but with this upcoming one, there is no escape from the influence of streaming, and she and her team have to be ready.
