For example, I started hardcore stanning Gaga when I first heard Applause when it dropped in August 2013. Afterwards, it was heartache after heartache after witnessing everything that went down with ARTPOP. I started getting into Katy during the Witness era and actually started to stan after hearing NRO. And now I see Katy performing ha bathroom tour and scraping in Top 90 on the Hot 100 On the flip side, every artist I dislike always thrives in their current era. I remember hating Tay during her 1989 era and there she went slaying the pop scene; winning AOTY at the Grammys the year after. I also hated Katy when the media pit her against Gaga during the Roar vs Applause mess and when Katy found more commercial success and exposure when both their albums dropped.
