Noam Zioni 1,196
The counting goes for official LP albums with new material only, which rules out the live EPs and Remixes. I’ve never seen anyone naming and EP as they do with albums like LG1, LG2 etc. for example, bebe rexha’s album Expectations followed 3 EPs, yet it’s still known as BR1

KatieJudasGaga4 67,907
I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but why do people feel so offended when someone calls TFM an EP?
gagafrontrow 267
The Fame Monster single disc = EP The Fame Monster double disc = album, sales of which count towards The Fame because it's a re-release thereof. Don't blame the messenger. I prefer to think of TFM single disc as an album too, but technically and officially in terms of sales etc it is not, while the double disc is the re-release of The Fame. Weird stuff, but it did make sense this way at the time in terms of promoting Gaga's career. www.gagafrontrow.com

Even Gaga had to clarify that TFM is an album and not an EP (so the question EP vs album is legitimate) and said she doesn't have a problem if others think otherwise. Also, if they felt the need to add the songs into a The Fame reissue maybe it's not that much of an album like people like to think.
