There was an article around the time of release of Reputation that said a lot of people within the industry were unhappy with Taylor because of all the drama she had "instigated" mongst musicians, and that she would most likely not have a lot of Grammy nominations that year because of it. As we know, she ended up having just one nom, so the article was probably right, which means this year she might get more nominations since she's put all that drama behind her.

ASIB is coming for Best Soundtrack. ARUTW/INLA will be nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance. ASIB will be nominated for AOTY but will lose to (probably) Billie

It  better be at least nominated for Album of the Year. Though it deserves to be right next to The Bodyguard and Saturday Night Fever on that very short list soundtrack AOTY

I don’t know who Lizzo is but Ariana, Lana, Billie and Taylor are all Pop so they could go for Pop Vocal Solo Performance and Album.

I just want Gaga to win Best Soundtrack and at least get a nomination for AOTY and for Lana to get some nominations for her album including AOTY, even if she doesn't win it. Her album's currently sitting at 86 on MC, it'll be a scandal if she isn't nominated. I'd love material from Carly Rae Jepsen and Avril Lavigne to get nominated too but they don't stand a chance.

I hate to say it but The Gift, the soundtrack Beyonce made for The Lion King, could stand a chance (not the official soundtrack, though, as that's not all original material). It has a 77 score, ASIB has 78. If it wins, there'll be some amount of controversy as the public totally rejected it, even if the critics felt brainwashed into loving it purely because Beyonce had her name on it. But come on, the Grammys will look like total fools if they let anything else win after Shallow won Grammys and an Oscar and the entire soundtrack has been beloved by the public. When it comes to this award, they tend to go with the one everyone took to their heart the most. Probably a lot of the critics won't even be familiar with The Gift and just vote for the one they recognise. If Gaga loses another deserved award to a woman who already has 23 Grammys...

I still think that it’s a missed opportunity to not push LG6 for an earlier release given the general categories won’t be seeing too much competition...  assuming LG6 is done/could’ve been completed and they’re just holding on to it for a fall release.

Lover (Song) and Soon You’ll Get Better would qualify for country for Taylor, and Lana’s new album is more alternative than Lust For Life and I think she’d have a much better chance at winning
