Gaga’s Most Authentic Era — to you

I was going to say Joanne at first but Born This Way for sure now, at that point she was so established in her message behind the music and didn't have to make commercial hits anymore. The album has no songs that didn't have a strong message behind it. Joanne as well, we saw Stefani more than Gaga though.

All these people saying Joanne is inauthentic:bradley:

It might not be her most authentic era, but it is in no freaking way it's inauthentic.

The Fame seemed like her most "inauthentic" era to me. It was clear (to me, at least) that she had some sort of "persona".

that was kinda the point though, at that point in time and also for TFM and BTW i think were all authentic to how she felt at each time

All of them. She’s many layers. Like an onion.

But ARTPOP felt a little fake and pretentious, but I think that was more than app ish than her.

I’m blonde, I’m skinny, I’m rich and I’m a little bit of a bitch

A Hybrid

Born This Way from what I’ve seen seems the most authentic, but Joanne is a close second equal with C2C. The least authentic is definitely A Star Is Born

Born this way, she could just release TF 2.0. and have her teenage dream era but she wanted to do what she thought was important at moment and built herself as real artist
