Lana Del Rey - Norman F***ing Rockwell! [Album officially out now]

There was a thread for the leak but I thought a new one was appropriate as the majority of people won't have listened to the leaks and waited for the official release  

Lana Del Rey's sixth studio album, Norman F**king Rockwell!, is out now!! I just listened to it and HOLY **** it was a RELIGIOUS experience. Not gonna be able to start picking favourites yet but I will say that Cinnamon Girl, HIAB, and Love song stood out on first listen.

It's so good! I absolutely love Cinnamon Girl, Happiness Is A Butterfly, Doin' Time, **** It I Love You and California

"Love Song", "The Greatest", "Bartender" and "Happiness Is  A Butterfly" some of the best song that Lana ever written. 

But also i'm a little bit dissapointed about "The Next Best American Record" and "How To Disappear". Their previous versions be a better.

I love every song in one way or the other, even hope sounds better after I've sit with it for all these months! Venice Bitch, California and Cinnamon Girl are my favorites.

Also, it's a lot more organised  and put together than LFL.

Now here's the tea! I was worried Doin' Time  and TNBAR would throw off the flow but it's quite cohesive and doesn't feel dragged out like LFL, I love that.

I still didn't listen to all the leaks  Just Happiness is a Butterfly & How to Disappear because I had been waiting such a long time for them 

Can't wait to hear the whole thing. I still remember the first time I listened to LFL in full. Magical.

All right so, 3 listens in:

of course everytime there's a new pop era someone will compare it to the previous albums of the artist, but i can see how her previous works have influenced Norman Fking Rockwell

Cinnamon Girl is like the Born To Die/Paradise era: a retro pop song with a "wanting to be loved persona" that ends in heavenly/tropical instrumentals

California reminisces Ultraviolence, with the "drunken" dragged vocals, grunge influence and muffled sound effect, and the reference to the title "Flipside", an Ultraviolence bonus track

Venice Bitch has the airy vocals from the Honeymoon era, which also had Jazz/Psychedelia elements. VB also quotes "Nothing Gold Can Stay" from Robert Frost's poem, also heard in "Music To Watch Boys To"

and of Course Next Best American Record was literally made for the Lust For Life album, and the new version cites "Topanga's hot Tonight" from "Heroin"

Amazing album. Lana is still delivering excellency, and this might be her best album so far. The melodies, the lyrics, the complexity...best album of the year imo.

Love Song, The Greatest and Mariners Apartment Complex are my favorites!

I can't remember listening to any of the songs on it before (not a lana stan, sorry  ) but I'll listen to it just for kicks once it is released here in another 8 hours or so.
