Sexuality is likely a mixture of some genes, some environmental factors (epigenetics, hormones, psychology, and more). In my family I have a gay uncle and gay cousin all from the my mom's side.. so there's something genetic? That’s absurd. There's some evidence to show that sexuality may be predetermined. Look up the ones that link androgen exposure with sexual orientation. It's not conclusive but it's not "absurd" either. I believe the answer is likely a mixture of nature and nurture but to deny nature entirely is what's absurd. No, they are saying there isn't one specific gene or group of genes that determine sexuality. Instead, it's a combination of many different genes plus enviromental factors and life experiences. If it is, people might try to "cure" it, or worse, test fetuses for it and selectively terminate the gay ones...
