bxr 1,016
Echoing the “fave / and lesser than” looks threads … somewhat random query to pass the meantime … If you could choose one of Gaga’s solo albums to premise a debut runway collection / show ( … including the album as musical direction — so, think Thierry Mugler Men’s F/W 2011 (Scheiße), Mugler NYFW Fall 2011 (Gov’t Hooker), Mugler PFW Spring 2012 (Black Jesus † Amen Fashion), Tom Ford PFW Spring 2016 (I Want Your Love) except, this would be a debut line) … which would it be? Spoiler I was going to go with an “Albums as fashion houses (hauses)” thread, but … this happened instead Also, think of the sonic aesthetic as the general sartorial concept; it’s all telling a story … so which album serves face, taste, and narrative in a way that the runway can best translate … (Also, yes, fashion is seasonal … so flaw in the methodology, but imagine the album can work both/either for Fall/Winter and/or a Spring/Summer collection … Also, it really depends on the designer … so, just whichever one resonates best with the album, really using the imagination passports with this one …) Spoiler Album cover art just to spark some referential … Tbh, idevenk if this poll makes any sense … but have fun with it
whore 11,447
Born This Way definitely has more runway-type of music, but you could argue the same for ARTPOP
FfFfFfFF 56,282
I don't understand if the question is ''Which album could work for a debut runway show'' or ''Which album would you correlate with a certain runway show'' but all her albums could work except Joanne. The Fame is glittery and at times has that disco groove (ex. Disco Heaven). The Fame Monster and Born This Way have that dark and dance-y feel and the latter has songs like Black Jesus and Fashion of His Love. ARTPOP is uptempo and and except for Dope doesn't really have drops in tempo, includes songs like Fashion!, Donatella, Applause.

Good catch, so the question is your former … which album would work for a debut runway show? I’m terrible at titles, brevity, and such #itsaprocess Definitely vibing with your album rundown, though
Guest
Well i want to be a fashion designer and i thinking about Gaga song i would want on my runway the other day, (Ive also thought of my concept for my first ever fragrance and she will be the face !) id love Aura on the runway but also some Bloody Mary. They did had Scheibie on the DSqaured2 runway once, fierce ! also Bad Romance violin on Prada this fall.
Mr Mirko 743
The Fame Monster songs would mean so much to me on the runway. Even thou every album has some kinda of fashion DNA. Remember in the end many brands promote diversity fashion is about diversity rythm of the streets. Joanne could be brought in by Rochas blumarine, coach, many genuine fashion brands

Aura would be incredible for the runway … it exudes the pure function of fashion’s integral relationship with identity (if that makes any sense) and that cultural interplay, the chameleonic camouflage of it all … it would be kind of dope to have a mash-up where Aura transitions into Bloody Mary and then pivots back into the close for the dance.sex.art.pop bridge and some post-crescendo climax reveal at the “ARTPOP” close … but that’s kind of a random derail … I didn’t know about the DSq2 or Prada, but those are brilliant choices

Just another day for Herrera, we can leave it up for imagination. Not sure what is here preference when it comes to Gaga's music
