This breaks rule #9 of the declaration of basic human rights.

I'd argue it also breaks 1, 2, 6, 10, 11, 14, and 15.

When will the UN step in? When will US authorities refuse to treat these people, children, like criminals simply for existing?

Republicans don’t care about laws, especially when they can treat brown people like criminals. There won’t be any accountability. The US is a permanent part of the UN Security Council so we would be able to veto any measure taken against us. But what countries should do is enact sanctions against us until we stop our inhuman treatment of these undocumented migrants.

The Trump Administration:

"OMG! Brown children! Lock them up! Wait, we have to let them out at some point?!?! Sh*t! Let's change that ASAP! We can't let this 'infestation' infect our beautiful white children!"

What is happening with the US is the perfect example of an unchecked super power nation. The US hasn't had a real proper competitor in decades and so it is starting to slip into muddy waters. I'd say Bush started this decline into tyranny but Trump really set the ball rolling. I wonder if future presidents are going to continue this cycle or if there will be a president who will set the US right on track to be a positive force in the world because right now it is becoming the spitting image of what it once declared it detested.

Never. The US holds so much power in the UN that it's basically controlled by the US. The US would veto anything against themselves.
