1.The shooters were not immigrants

2. El Paso terrorist was inspired by Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric and he wants “something great to come out of it”, pushing for his “immigration reform”,

what does that have to do with these shootings, except being a motivator in El Paso??

is he indirectly blaming immigrants again for this?

Beyond disgusting. I'm no longer shocked by a single thing Trump says anymore. He is beyond gross and will cross every single line.

The shooter was white... So is he saying that “White people are immigrants”??.... Or that “White people need immigration reforms”? ... Why does he want whites to get marry but also get a background check to do so??? ... the racism jumped out!

Couldn’t expect anything else from him. He will now try to pass this horrible immigration bill with some BS gun control and then try to say Democrats don’t want any type of security for the country. It’s so predictable.

This man is literally insane and pandering to his fan-base because he’s as morally bankrupt as they come...

No shame and no class. Using violence he normalizes to promote his agenda.

Why did American society become so violent in the last 30 years? These spree attacks barely existed 30 years ago and half of all deaths from mass killings occurred aftee 2012.

REALITY

And once again, his supporters are stupid enough to support him...

The El Paso shooter was a Trump supporter, he drove 9 HOURS with the intent to "shoot immigrants", and we're now they want to pass anti-immigration bills even though they are the VICTIMS of this massacre?

Wake up and see who you're supporting! I swear, everytime Trump opens his mouth and everytime people shout and scream for him the nation's IQ drops 10 points.

One important reason is that the term "mass shooting" has simply become more popular among journalists in the last couple of years, giving off the impression that it happens a lot more regularly, while this frequency is in reality very hard to discern.

Another very important reason is that experts or journalists usually use a random date to measure mass shooting frequency, for example counting mass shootings from the year 2000 onwards when 2000 was (coincidentally) a very "weak" year for mass shootings.

So overall it really is just impression  John R. Lott Jr. did a great research piece about it for the newsletter of the ACJS, showing that if you start counting from the '70s, mass shootings actually have only increased with less than 1% per year. So it definitely did happen in the past.
