Ed started out promising, delivering good songs with meaning like A-Team and Lego house

But, recently since he his success his songs became very shallow and worthless. Not to mention sampling other songs without giving them credit. His main goal is to be successful on the charts to get that number one. Literally, Galway Girl, Shape of You, Perfect and South of The Border are all the same message... how he likes his women.

He also seems very cocky and arrogant now that he has hit a level of fame. His voice isnt even that stellar

He became a generic artist who writes music for the charts. Also, remember when he dragged Gaga?

Ikr, he is literally focused on success now. I know that is not a bad thing, but him praising himself for a #1 album with "no promo" yet his album is full of collabs which is promo and marketing in itself :smh:

In my messy era.

Little Delulus laughing at how long this tour lasted. Y’all can only wish for Gaga to have a tour that’s half as successful even if she doubles Ed’s number of dates.

Nnnn true... and didnt he post the album tracklist and a snippet of each track on instagram? Which is promo? :smh:

Of course every artist wants success, but with Ed its gotten to the point where its the same formula he uses for each track to get to number 1. He sold his passion and creativity for fame and glory

I'm still waiting for Sia to sue his fraudulent ass for ripping off Cheap Thrills! :triggered:

that's only because he had like 150360940 dates. Obviously if there are three years worth of dates in one tour it's gonna gross loads. Trash. :messga:

You can say that again... it definitely grossed me out! :trollga:

I think it's crazy that this many people want to see an acoustic set with no spectacle. On a large scale stage, at that. This kind of set is better experienced at an intimate venue, where you can drink it all in and feel like you're personally being sung to. But in a 60k capacity stadium and there's nothing even worth seeing on the big screens from afar? Yeah, not worth it. Every live performance I've seen of Ed's underwhelms me big time. It's admirable that he can carry a whole show himself without bells and whistles but again, when you're on a large scale stage, if you don't do that stuff, it falls so flat. Don't get me wrong, I like some of Ed's songs but I've never listened to them and thought, wow, I need to see that performed live. It blows my mind what people will spend money on these days. I only want to see an artist live if their music is exciting with lots of interesting instrumentals or at the very least, atmospheric. Even if you're just going to stand there and sing, do it to the utmost extent. But if you're going to go the simplistic route and not even have a great voice, then pass.

He didnt drag gaga. Monsters made that connection themselves tbf.

He's an incredible songwriter in how he can create these meaningful and also 'generic' songs. It's not easy to create a song with such huge mass appeal. I dont know why charts = bad really.

I agree he is egotistical though but he has gone from busking to highest grossing tour so I'll give him a pass

I can respect this achievement at face value but DO NOT undermine the fact that Gaga is one of the biggest touring forces in the world.  She literally compromised her own physical health to put on countless sold out shows that ultimately permanently limited her own body. Gaga could easily still sell out stadiums just sitting on a stool and playing piano....but not both of them can put on one of the most iconic Superbowl halftime shows to date. So take several seats and take your shade to EdSheerandaily .
