First of all, did I quote you?

No but you were directly referring to my post so you might as well have :rip: I don't like to be made fun of because someone (not intentionally, obviously) misread my post. I'd rather clarify.

And second of all, no one in their right mind thought that TIHTY would chart while the Beyhive was more than confident that "Beyonce"s Lion King soundtrack would outsell ASIB soundtrack in mere weeks. I can show you countless tweets as proof. :huntyga:

The Beyhive is a delusional nest of ignorance though :air: Why is anyone thinking I'm a fan of those people or want to be associated with them in any way? :emma: But one delusion is no excuse for another.

That's like saying Teenage Dream was universally critically acclaimed because it was scandalously nominated for AOTY at the Grammy's :sharon: Sorry but no.

I'll never forget when those nominations were announced :laughga: It felt like Trump winning, not even kidding :air: If there's ever an illustration of the Grammy's favoring commercial success over quality in their most important categories, it's that one :ladyhaha: Critics hated that album.

As a fan you should know that's not true though... Bey wasn't even nominated for one big award for Dreamgirls, her Sasha album was a critical disaster and she only got serious acclaim for her albums since 2013... :air: So that's flat out wrong.

You're obviously free to dislike the album. But know that your opinion is in the minority :whitney:

Funny how her critically disastrous album produced 2 of her biggest hits Single ladies and Halo (3 if u count If I were a bot) :toofunny:

Like I said: even Teenage ****ing Dream, the most hated pop album of our generation was nominated for Album of the Year. Like... :air:

Okay come on. This is kinda reaching. There are way more pop albums that are hated more than Teenage Dream. Britney Jean for instance.

It ended up on some Year End Lists such as...

Access - #1

The Guardian - #8

MTV - #5

Oregon Public Broadcasting - #8

VH1 - #1

Tidal’s impact.

I really enjoyed Sasha’s album. I can’t believe it was called disastrous.

Well, I keep forgetting that Britney Jean exists so you may have a point there :laughga: But still, Teenage Dream was on the whole absolutely negatively received to a degree that Beyoncé or Gaga never had to endure.

I mean, yes, TD appeared on year-end lists but of what publications :air: Acess is a tv magazine, The Guardian is not a very respected source for music reviews, MTV just picks it 'cause it was a hit, VH1 was only writing about pop albums and also credited it for the hits it spawned, etc.

Of course an album's reception doesn't say anything about how the fans enjoyed it but it definitely didn't deserve an AOTY nomination based on quality.

not really when Bey is a lioness...

she's just a voice actor

This still doesn't explain why Britney's Oh La La effortlessly peaked  44 spots higher on the hot 100 and she wasn't even in the movie
