Yeah we're really asking for people to love Bey, I just said in the OP that you can critique her singing, her songs etc. This is not about liking her.

You must not come on here often because almost EVERY artist gets sh*t talked and dog walked on this forum now from Bey to Katy to Madonna to Lana hell even GAGA gets dog walked on here. While a great part of it comes from her insufferable fanbase, that's nothing to do with Beyonce herself, so I do make that criticism independent of her. But it comes down to her personality and narcissism (for a woman who's held up as sweet and humble, she has been notoriously ruthless her entire career), her music not being as amazing as it's made out to be and for the fan and critic perception of her as a goddess from up on high, the best ever (again, not exactly her fault but her marketing tactics have proved that this is the image of her she wants us to have). All in all, she's just not worth the hype and there's plenty of other artists who are better who aren't getting the attention. It's the frustration that comes from all that that makes us hate on her. It's never mindless, there's valid reasoning behind it.

And as for being friends with Gaga...this isn't 2010 anymore. A lot has changed from that time. They never performed Telephone once despite given ample opportunities to do so, you can count how many times Gaga's been pictured with her on one hand and she never speaks of her or makes any reference to hanging out with her. I highly suspect Gaga tried to be friends with her back in the Telephone days and was let down in some way, maybe discovering that Beyonce was too calculated, fake, boring and wasn't as invested in art as she was. If you watch the interview she did with Howard Stern back in the day, she refers to meeting your idols and then being disappointed. It's worth noting that Gaga looked up a lot to Beyonce before she ever met her, she provided her with huge inspiration. I sometimes have the feeling that's who she was talking about when she said this because she never seemed to go near Beyonce after that. I think it was one of the fake media friendships and a business transaction, personally. Beyonce scratched her back (Videophone), Gaga scratched hers (Telephone) and that's all that it ever was.

Not everyone who dislikes her is fans of those people who truly untalented types. I can't speak for Kim but I've never been a fan of Taylor. It's way too big a convenient generalism to say this. Those who know me around here will know I'm probably the harshest music critic on GGD.

That's the tried and tested assumption but I can assure you that it's not what I or the majority of other "haters" have against her. I would never be so superficial as to use a skin colour or gender to put someone down, it's all about music and personality to me. I don't know why this is so hard for some people to believe. The problem is, when you have those possibilities as an "out," it's all too easy to fall back on when you hear the slightest criticism. It's really not fair that any artist who doesn't fit this criteria should just suck it up while others can say that the only reason they get hate is because people are bigoted. That's precisely how someone can become big-headed.

To you- but not to everyone else. That’s the problem with the Bee-hive. They have ruined a lot of things for Beyoncé. Beyoncé is a fantastic performer and is extremely consistent. She is a talented vocalist as well. She certainly isn’t the best. She can be a personal favorite- but the beehive loves to try to force this legendary status on other people. They put her in a league with Elvis, Michael Jackson, Madonna. But those artist changed the game. They were groundbreaking. They were versatile. Beyoncé has never changed up the game. Even Lady Gaga in 2008-2009 changed up the whole music game and had people dressing like her and altering their sound to sound like her’s(Beyoncé even followed in line there). 

I just want the Beehive to be accurate. Beyoncé is great. She can be a personal favorite. But she certainly hasn’t brought anything new to the table that Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Cher, Aaliyah  and Madonna did before her. And she certainly doesn’t have the hits to back up the “greatest” status that some of the beehive want others to believe.

Not so much her but as stated by many it's her fans.

I think I'll forever be turned off with my run in with some Bey super fans when Lemonade was released and how we were talking about the album and I was saying that yeah great album with great social  message and is very personal and that it's a very important album for not only the black community but for many of the marginalized and discriminated communities out there and after I sat there praising the album (which honestly the ONLY bey album I have fully on my phone and listen to often" I was promptly told to "keep my opinions of the album to myself" and that if I'm not black I can't have ANY opinion on it or really understand it's meaning or what she was trying to convey.  And I was just really taken aback cause here I was this whole time just saying how I really liked the album but then I was told that I pretty much CAN'T like the album unless I'm black and I asked them if thats what they meant cause for a second I was really confused and they said yes.

I used to love Beyonce a lot. Well everything changed a lot after Self Title.
